Kaolin Clay and Cacao Face Mask

By Milena

Kaolin clay is a mild clay suitable for all skin types that is capable of drawing purities out and away from skin. Cacao is packed with antioxidants to help repair skin and flavanoids to reduce inflammation. The copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, and zinc in cacao can also promote healthy cell growth. Combined, these ingredients can help your skin feel fresh and cleaned, while also offering the aromatherapeutic pick-me-up benefits of chocolate.

Choosing to use green tea in this mask instead of distilled water can offer additional anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits, which is particularly helpful around tired eyes.

I am definitely going to try this. Thank you so much for posting this. I have started making lots of my own products – face cream, body scrubs and butter, shampoo and now the face mask. 🙂

Lovely looking recipe! This is one area I need to try (natural skin care). I have a friend who makes her own products as she is allergic to any chemicals. Simple really is best!

Have you tried Tropical Traditions? I have found it to be the best coconut oil I have ever tried and they run sales every month on varying products. I have shared it with friends and family and they all love it and want more. I use the Gold Label version. If you are not familiar with them, go to their website and read about it. All of their products are produced in the tropics (Gold Label using NO heat). I am only affiliated through receiving their emails. To me, it’s the best. Good luck!

    Hello Susan,

I would like to know where you purchase your Coconut oil? I have a hard time finding a good coconut oil. Alot of them say Extra Virgin Olive Oil . We know there is no such thing as Extra Virgin Olive Oil.So could you please let me know where you get yours. I’m almost out and need to buy more . I would really appreciate it if you could let me
    know ASAP Thanks.
