Grain Grinder and Flaker Give Away!

If you enjoyed the “How to Make Raw Flaked Oats” post, you will love this give-away! It is a grain grinder and grain flaker just for you so you can make your own raw sprouted oat flakes and other raw sprouted flours and flakes!

This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

To enter the contest, just leave a comment telling us why you are eating healthy and also approximately what percentage of raw food you eat.  You can only enter once and the contest closes on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00 am PST. Hi
Wow, this is the coolest kitchen gadget I’ve seen in a while. I often grind my own grains (vita-mix) but didn’t know I could make my own oatmeal. My raw intake varies seasonaly but 50/50 is average.
    thanks for the giveaway!

I am trying to get my health back after feeling less than 100% for awhile now…I have no clue what percentage raw, but I was doing 75% or more a little while back. Now it’s less, but it varies from day to day.

I eat healthy because I love fresh, real, beautiful foods-they are yummy, make me feel good, look good and are a good choice for the planet too! I eat 65% raw.

I have had Lyme Disease for almost 20 years now. It has taken so much from me, including my hair! Since I have begun my Raw Journey and feel absolutely AMAZING! My goal is to be 100% raw, but for now I am probably closer to 90-95%. I feel hopeful, vibrant and am working on that “glow” that so many raw foodists maintain. Thank you for your wonderful inspirations and receipes!

I have struggled with my weight and various reactions due to auto immune diseases and other ailments for my entire adult life. I am finally getting on board with curing myself from the inside out. I have adopted a gluten free lifestyle and am juicing and trying your recipes (love the cheesy kale crackers!). My kids and I are about 50% raw currently. Saving money for tools and kitchen gadgets that will help bring us closer to 100%! Even if it’s not the answer to my health issues, I believe it will give my kids a much better chance of not ending up with my health struggles. Thank you for this opportunity and for all of the wonderful info and recipes you provide.

I’m a nurse on a stroke floor and am amazed at how many people with strokes have multiple co-morbities (smoking, alcohol, high cholesterol, diabetes-just to name a few). Some of these people are severely paralyzed from the stroke, others are very lucky and walk out after a few days of hospitalization. The amount of medication I give on a daily basis is astounding. I have changed my lifestyle because of these specific things. My health is precious, and I want to do what I can to preserve it as long as I can. I have been a vegan since August of last year. I keep making modifications (cutting out all the junk) to hopefully become mostly raw. Right now I would say I only eat 30% raw. I still cook a lot of my vegetables but am trying to do more raw since veggies are more local and in season now. I have actually never even heard of this grinder you are giving away, but it sounds pretty cool.

Eating healthy, or rather, eating REAL nourishes not only my body but my soul; somehow the whole working-with-my-hands creating raw foods brings me closer to myself. Oh, and it’s fun!
I eat about 75% raw – when on break from school probably closer to 80%.

I eat healthy because it tastes good and makes me feel alive. I am currently three weeks away from having baby number two. My kitchen is being renoed, and I have had no source of heat for about one month. We don’t microwave anything. My raw quotient is maybe 60-75%? Wish I could eat like this all of the time, but it does take a bit of time.

I eat healthy to feel great and also as an example to my husband and kids – healthy doesn’t mean boring! I probably only eat 30% raw at this stage but am trying to increase this gradually!
