This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

I eat about 60% raw right now. I am conscious of everything I put in my mouth. I am trying to turn my meat-and-potatoes hubby on to vegetables and instill healthy habits in my 7 year old son. It’s hard to do in this culture where people offer my son junk food at every turn. Raw foods make me happy and make me feel great!

I eat about 60 percent raw. Breakfast is my biggest problem, I dont like to eat breakfast but feel alot better if I do. However, I just discovered that a great breakfast is a combinations of dried apricots, dried cranberries oat flakes soaked for a few minutes in water. Then add coconut, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts and a dusting of chia seeds and cinnamon. I would love making my own oat flakes.

I started out by cutting dairy, soy, corn, eggs, sugar (and artificial sweeteners) and gluten as instructed by a diet book. I was making green smoothies twice a day when I stumbled upon some raw crackers in the grocery store that I could actually eat and I thought that I could make these at home. That lead to some raw food blogs (yours is by far the best), and that lead me to where I am now. I am raw for everything but dinner, I have 2 young kids living with me for the year, but when they are gone I am going to try to do more raw dinners.

We just recently bought 7 acres and are in the process of becoming self- reliant. It would be great to grind the grains we are growing in our garden! A great farm-to-table opportunity 🙂 some days 40/60, some days 60/40…

I eat healthy because I believe in the amazing healing benefits of organic raw food. Raw food is my art; I create not only for myself, but also to share with others. The raw food path has guided my life to so many amazing places that I could never have imagined before. I eat approximately 80% raw, unless I am cleansing than I eat 100% raw.

I am 71 years old and have been eating healthy since I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer five years ago. First, I deleted sugar, coffee, and white flours and rice from my diet. Gradually, I began making healthier foods, cut out all meats and most dairy, and now use almost all organic ingredients. I have recently begun eating mostly raw and am getting close to about 80% raw and 20% cooked. I feel great and want to continue eating this way.

Have had to eat healthy due to childhood health issues. Forced to become my own doctor at early age. This year I started a garden because of the low brix quality of grocery store fruits and vegetables, not to mention the gmo’d starchy grains. I purchase Einkorn wheat berries and have been grinding the soaked berries in my juicer to make flat dried cakes. Quite edible and delicious, especially with addition of some dried fruit.
