Your whole food, plant-based life.

Happy Fall!

My mom calls it “sweater weather”. I call it bliss. Last night as I lay in bed, the wind was howling and there was a chill in the air. I snuggled under the covers with the pups and sighed, content. I love the cold. I love gray days, wind, rain and snow. I think it is the Irish in me.

When I was a child, even through college, I couldn’t wait for the fall. While everything green was dying, our brains were waking up from their summer vacation. Time to engage, to learn. It was always an exciting time.

I still feel that same excitement every fall. I have been inspired! Rawmazing is going to be expanding, slowly but surely. I want to give you an update as to what is in the works!

First, I am going to start up the 21 Day Challenge again. 21 days of full on raw food. Start date will be this Friday, September 10th. That way, Day 21 lands on September 30, opening the door to the new addition to the site that will be starting October 1st.

For now I am calling it the other 10%. As you know, I am not always 100% raw. But what do I eat for the other 10 to 20%? What should we eat for the other 10 to 20%?

Well, this winter, I am going to introduce an entire section of super healthy, no-raw recipes that you can use for the other 10%. No processed foods, only healthy ingredients, prepared in healthy ways to give you the added warmth and sustenance that winter requires of us.

Those of you that are in very cold climates will know exactly what I am talking about. When it is below zero for months at a time, even warming raw food in the dehydrator doesn’t always cut it. So, I am on a mission to create recipes that will keep us super healthy through those dark, cold months.

The next piece of news it that I am turning my Photo 365 Challenge into a food photography/photography blog! I will be covering all kinds of information that will help you make your photographs sing! The photo 365 pages crashed on me about a week ago. I am rebuilding them, image by image. You can find the new blog by clicking on the link in the navigation menu, or here: Rawmazing Photo Blog. Once you get there…if you want to view the other Photo 365 images just click on the tab at the top and you will see them listed by month.

The images will also be for sale in print, calendar and card form soon!

I love fall too. It’s my favorite season! I do miss it here in FLA. It’s just not the same as where I grew up in MASS.

Will you be posting what you are eating daily? I want to do this challenge too! Do you offer an ebook or guide on what to buy or how to plan for it. As a fulltime working mom of two babies – it is finding the time for planning, buying, prepping, etc. Some kind of course or ebook would be very helpful. Do you offer anything lime that?

Great post and such good news! Can’t wait for the warming recipes for winter’s dark cold nights. I have an old 1970’s crock pot and hope you’ll have some crock recipes for us all.

I’m a Fall person too. And I love the rain and gray days, there’s beauty and comfort there too. Love cozying up inside with a cup of hot tea and a good book and a pot of veggie soup on the stove. I think a big salad with a bowl of soup is great fall/winter fare, looking forward to see what you are going to create!
