Introducing: Ampersand

You may have noticed the beautiful dishes that were featured with the food in the last few posts. They come from one of my favorite places, Ampersand. It is a stunning table ware, and  home decor store, complete with an amazing apothecary that carries only the best products. There are hundreds of exquisite items to choose from.

Every time I walk into the store, I am transported by the work and vision of Barbara Armajani. After having great success in the corporate world, Barbara turned her attention to opening the definitive home store in Edina, MN. Barbara’s philosophy is that one should surround yourself with beautiful, simple things. “Carrying the romantic to the modern” is an easy goal to achieve when Ampersand is your resource.

Barbara has an amazing ability to not only find interesting and unique pieces, but her gift of presentation, the ideas presented through the displays are inspiring. Your own creativity and ideas for transforming your  home is ignited. She shows us that it is easy to create a beautiful, welcoming home.

I am excited to have the opportunity to photograph many of the wares of Ampersand in the upcoming blog posts. I think they will add a beautiful dimension to the food photography.
