Rawmazing at Mpls Farmer’s Market

Just a quick Saturday update to let you know that Rawmazing will be at the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market this morning. I am demonstrating raw food preparation at 10:30, with samples! If you are in the Minneapolis area, stop by and say hi!

Other Morning Thoughts:

I have been having an interesting discussion with a friend this morning about TV and commercial influences on what we eat. I know that I fall prey to advertisements all the time. Do I act upon them? No. But do they mess with my head? You bet. I wonder what would happen if only pure, unprocessed, healthy food commercials and ads were allowed. Just sayin’…

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hmm, think of all the new programming there could be if we weren’t filling the screen with ads for junk food. 😉

I can’t help but feel like I’m being manipulated into thinking they know what’s best for me. I don’t want to join the masses that believe it’s what’s best for us.

How cool is that! Did you have your own table or do you partner with a local farmer?

Food commercials are very influential because not only do they give a falsely glamorous appearance to the food but they seriously make you crave it when you aren’t even hungry! Which is another reason why I don’t watch TV. haha

Congrats on being a demo-er at the Farmer’s Market! And I’m totally with you on the topic of advertising and the surrounding culture in general having a major effect of ‘making or breaking’ peoples’ ease of gravitating toward healthy food. I do have FAITH though that we are moving in the right direction, and farmer’s markets are a huge boost!
