Your whole food, plant-based life.

Week One Give-a-Way!

Last week I announced that we are going to be giving away a gift every week from now until the end of the year! I am so excited! You will have to check in each Monday to see what we will be giving away for that week. Some products will be directly associated with raw food, some associated with a green, healthy life style!

This week we are kicking off the contest with two copies of the raw food Rawmazing Dessert Book! (what did you expect?) One will be the PDF form, and the other will be the print copy. To enter, just put a comment in the comment section, one simple sentence stating why you are interested in raw food. Entries will be taken Monday and Tuesday, with the winner announced Wednesday of each week.

So, put in your comment today or tomorrow and Wednesday we will announce the winner!

You can also purchase the book here: Rawmazing Desserts

Aloha Susan, Some months back I became interested in raw foods because I wanted to take back control and responsibility for my own health, getting off all of the medications I’d been on for decades. Since starting that transition, I’ve seen and feel positive changes and feel great most days. The switch from the SAD to raw foods was a very natural one for me. No resistance what so ever from my 55 year old body in consuming raw green juices and foods. I am amazed by the fact that it is such a natural progression towards my well being. It’s as if my body was waiting for this transition to happen. It’s been an incredible journey and I look forward to incorporating even more delicious raw foods into my life as I get better everyday! Mahalo nui loa!

I keep getting sick, and was already not using the normal antibiotics, but nothing of the natural remedies helped. So after seeing a irridoligist, which told me ill have to cut our dairy and wheat, otherwise ill be a diabetic within 2 years, i got the fright of my life, and starting making better foodchoices, but only avoiding wheat and diary. So after a year of not eating diary and wheat, and reading a book called “the natural way”, i was hooked to make further good lifestyle changes, and was searching for recipies on google, since i didnt really know how to cook vegetables etc, my diet was mainly meat and potatoes. After searching recipies, i stumbled on rawmazing and after all this amazing recipies, i have gone raw, for about 3 months now. Ordered a dehydrator and the food is just great. If anyone suggested 3 years ago that ill be a vegetarian, or vegan or going raw, i would have thought them mad. Still very new at all this, but im so greatfull for knowing about all of this, and for Susan to share all her knowledge.

I’m only 17, but I was lucky to have discovered raw foods this past summer. Your blog has helped me stay motivated and excited about them, and given me so many ideas for quick yummy meals. My family doesn’t really approve of the way I eat, so I can’t express how much your website has helped me kind of fend for myself and stick up for my beliefs. I’d love to win the desserts book so that I could make some of the delicious recipes and get my family to try them, who knows maybe it’s exactly what they need to start being more open-minded(miracles happen right?). Thank you either way, what you do with this site is inspirational and truly appreciated.

Wow – thanks for the opportunity. Your web site is amazing in all ways. I work in a hospital and also am a nursing student with the goal of being a FNP (Family Nurse Practitionner). I’m enthusiastic about a high raw diet, and would love to see more fresh (raw) food offerings all the way across the healthcare spectrum. Desserts are the most tempting ways to entice and excite people but it is my weakest area. I’m sure this book rocks, because I LOVE your smoothies and lots of other recipes here. I’d love to dive into this book and bring some treats to work…would be a fun introduction to docs, co-workers and patients. Your website is fantastic – thank you for all the work you do, and for the beautiful inspiring photographs.
