Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator. I hope to fix that problem for one of you!

The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!

Here are the rules:

Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.

Only one entry allowed per person.

Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.

Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.

I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

Some people are saying that you don’t need to supplement, but as long as you are rotating your greens and eating wild edibles, eating plenty of fruits, especially the tropical fruits, and getting plenty of sunshine and also exercising then supplements are not needed. What are your opinions on supplements? Do you take any?

this is a most generous, awesome giveaway! question: what are your favourite tips or recipes to prepare raw, healthy, filling meals without the focus on nuts or seeds? is it silly to worry about health/fat content/protein on a raw diet?

When offering to make raw food for people who don’t eat raw, how can you describe raw food other than “raw”, which some perceive as negative?

If you make a large quantity of *let’s say* raw crackers with a dehydrator~ is it okay to freeze the leftovers, or does freezing deplete the nutrients etc., that is retained by eating it raw?
I guess my question is: how does freezing affect the nutritional quality of raw foods?

~thanks for doing such a great giveaway!

I would love to be entered into the drawing. Summer is coming and so are the veggies from the garden. Can eggplant be eaten raw?

A quiet dehydrator!? The question I always seem to return to concerning raw foods is: as the primary food preparer in the house, how can I incorporate more raw foods into my life when my significant other is incredibly wary and often downright opposed toward raw foods?
