Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator. I hope to fix that problem for one of you!

The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!

Here are the rules:

Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.

Only one entry allowed per person.

Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.

Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.

I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

As I sit here eating my delicious lunch ~~~ a green salad and your yummy TOMATO NAPOLEON WITH RAW BASIL “CHEESE” (WOW!) I reflect that thanks to you, my Italian palate is completely satisfied.

Now, I wonder, can you make a “cheese” enchilada that will satisy my Mexican palate?

I just love your RAWmazing website, your recipes and YOU! Thanks for the opportunity to win a dehydrator. :):):)

I love raw desserts, but notice that nuts in large quantities don’t sit well with me. any recipe suggestions for raw desserts without nuts?

Hello, and thanks for offering this giveaway! I’m wondering what a good “second step” into a raw diet would be — I’m gluten free and vegan, and already incorporate raw fruit/veggies/nuts/seeds into my daily snacks, but am a little intimidated by the idea of trying to attempt a completely raw meal. Any tips, especially for somebody on a tight budget?

Do you have any tricks for growing wheatgrass? I planted my first 2 batches & they seemed to flourish at first, but now they seem to have stopped growing.

I LOVE your RAWmazing site, Susan! It’s beautiful, inspiring & educational all at once. I am grateful to be able to check in. And of course your recipes are so YUMMMMMMY!

Do recipes calling for soaked nuts mean that I measure them pre-soak or post-soak?

Hi! Cool contest…my question is, what are some savory raw breakfast ideas? I never feel great when I eat something sweet in the morning, even fruit, so I don’t usually do smoothies/juice/etc. except as snacks later in the day.

Awesome contest. My question is how do I prepare sea moss for recipes? And each recipe seems to have a different preparation method that I am unsure as to how much I should use in the recipe. Also, I don’t know what it should look like, taste or when it is bad and I shouldn’t use it. Obviously, it is not suppose to have a taste, but I know you have to be careful when soaking it. It seems a little daunting to use. 🙁
