Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator. I hope to fix that problem for one of you!

The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!

Here are the rules:

Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.

Only one entry allowed per person.

Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.

Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.

I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

My Question: Since the majority of Almonds are pasturized, where can you find truly raw Almonds?

    Hello Susan,

I’m marinating some sweet potatoes right now, following your recipe, and was wondering what I can do with the rest of the potatoes that I bought, but didn’t add to the marinated ones?
Thanks a lot and have a great day!

I am very new to the rawmazing email feed and the idea of eating raw in general. I love your blog – it sounds like you’re quite good at giving people direction and advice. Keep it up! Here’s my question: where should someone like me get started? I have gastrointestinal issues, so I may not be able to eat entirely raw anytime soon. I want a slow, manageable start. Do you recommend any books or recipes in particular for me?

I’m not very familiar with the raw movement, but would like to learn more. Can you tell me what some of the benefits are of eating raw?

Hello. I stumbled upon your website and fell in love with it at first site. Hee =)
The question I would like to ask contains two parts; what do you feel is the most commonly used ingredient in the Rawmazing food diet and also which ingredient do you feel is the most important one used?

hello! I am somewhere around 50% raw vegan and I have the hardest time with food prep. Usually I am good with raw foods for a week and then life gets busy, I’m too tired to grocery shop so I just eat whatever my husband is having. Do you have any suggestions? My lifestyle is so busy I just don’t know what ingredients to keep on hand that will always give me variety, health and good taste!

When you are a raw food person do you recommend green drinks made in the blender in the AM or Green Juice? There seems to be various opinions on this.
