Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator.
I hope to fix that problem for one of you!
The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!
Here are the rules:
Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.
Only one entry allowed per person.
Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.
Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.
I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

I live in a very warm and humid climate . I love to take food with me to the beach and the mountains when I travel. My question is: what are the best ways to pack and maintain raw foods while being outdoors for extended periods of time?

Trying out my own mini-garden for the first time this season. I’m about to start planting seeds now (indoors). Any tips on what to put in (or not put in) to get the best and healthiest results? I’ve got as far as organic plant food for vegetables. I’m growing tomatoes, garlic chives and cilantro. Thank you for advice and this great giveaway!

Hi,
I am new to eating raw food and one of my questions is:
If I went raw and did not eat meat, when I eat it ,will my body have a bad reaction to it?
Thanks,
Mayra

hi susan-
you have a few recipes using raw oats flour…i’m very allergic to wheat and wheat products, I am wondering how ‘raw’ the oat flour is. My question is are there any wheat/gluten properties in the raw oat flour? i would so love to make some chewy, soft bread that is raw!!

Oooh great giveaway! I’ve always wanted a dehydrator! My mom has one gathering dust in her basement and yet refuses to let me borrow it, you know, just in case she needs it. Hmph. Anyhow, my question is: I have a whole huge can of nutritional yeast that I bought because I was told it was a good source of B12 but the only thing I can think to do with it is sprinkle it on popcorn! Got any other good ways to use the stuff??

I’ve seen a lot of chia seeds in raw food recipes, but when I research them most of the info online seems to be about weight loss, which definitely isn’t my main goal in eating right. I guess I’m wondering what the specific properties are of chia that make it so great. I know they’re a great energy boost, but is that it?
