I love all things healthy cooking. I am a big foodie, especially when it comes to promoting a plant-based diet. Ultimately, my goal is to have my own plant-based private chef company, but have realized that I do require credentials to back up my practice and skill. If I am offering a service, I want to make sure that I offer the best knowledge, experience and skill one can get for their money! This is my dream to do, and I cannot wait to get started.

This is not something I could ever afford to do for myself, but I would love to learn more about cooking plant-based food. Just over two years ago, I made a choice: to get healthy. I was very much overweight, had high blood pressure, high cholesterol and was pre-diabetic. All typical of one who has been on the Standard American Diet (SAD) for too long. I began searching out information online on how to improve my health, and have successfully applied what I learned. I know how strong the evidence is that a plant-based way of eating is the most beneficial. While I have not yet completely transition to a Vegan lifestyle, I have many more Vegan/Vegetarian says than not. After 28 months on an ever-evolving diet and lifestyle, my weight is down 50+ pounds (without calorie-counting), I do not have high BP, nor high cholesterol and am no longer considered pre-diabetic. I feel better than I have in many years. Having the opportunity to participate in the certification would go a long way to help me continue on my journey and to help others do the same. Oh yes, I try to convert everyone I know and meet to join me on this path…

I have 7 children and have had 5 miscarriages. I am 44 and my body is worn down and worn out. I would love to win and become healthier so I can be around a long time for my children.
