This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

Plain and simple, I’m eating for my health. I was so sick for about 5 years and the healthcare system was of no help. On my way home from a doctor’s visit a year ago and the doctor told me I needed to add one more “thing” to my already long list of pharmaceuticals, I changed the way I ate. Within weeks I was feeling better and continue to feel better.

I eat healthy to sustain the energy to keep up with my busy children! We eat raw about 60% of the time!

Eating healthy has been a huge decision for my family. Although it seems a logical one the idea of being healthy today is very different to actually being healthy. We were focused on low fat, not fat, no added sugar and not on what was really good for us. Now with two kids and a life of experience we want to have eating HEALTHY is the most important step for us to have the life we want for ourselves and also our children. Fresh produce, organic foods, sprouted seeds and nuts. We aim for 60 -70% raw a week as the kiddies still life toast and we can’t go past a good vegie soup but our pantry and stomachs are now full of good wholesome healthy organic foods and after losing 40kgs it is showing. I still have a way to go but am in no rush as this is the lifestyle we want.

I recently found “raw” sites so am very new to this. I do make granola in my dehydrator, drink a green smoothie every day with chia seed, flax seed, kefir water, spinach, banana and frozen fruit. Also, a few other recipes but can’t say what percent is raw or even healthy because for example I love milk and have tried other subs but can’t find one I like…even made my own raw almond milk…yuk…sorry. Slow and sure is the way to raw!!! Thanks for your great recipes…just made the chocolates this weekend.

I have enjoyed your website and recipes. I am struggling to change over and I am hoping to make some significant accomplishments this summer! I probably eat about 30% raw & fermented foods. I feel better about eating well and I notice the difference when I am able to take the time!

When I was little I was one of those sickly children (Meningitis, German Measles, Whooping Cough, Glandular Fever etc etc). We (as a family) never ate well so as an adult i tried to do better but my health has always been an issue. I tried being a vegetarian but didn’t like the high spicey food and was aware that a high percentage of the food wasn’t healthy. We have recently emigrated fron the UK to New Zealand and my health went down hill again with Chronic Fatigue etc etc. I have been asking the universe for help with my help for a long time then one day someone told me about green smoothies, so i gave them a try. Sadly no change after 3 months of having 4 a day 🙁 So, I started researching and went raw on the 26th January 2013. I went 100% for 3 months (sadly no change in energy levels for myself or my very tired husband). But we have stuck with it. We are now 90% raw and the rest vegan. The only reason why we are not 100% is the cold weather and variety. Sadly having no energy is a catch 22 situation to eat healthily. I don’t have the spare energy to do the research to find recipes i like (and learn about the ingredients). However we intend to stay as raw as possible from now on because i believe my reserves are so low that it will take time :@)
