Grain Grinder and Flaker Give Away!

If you enjoyed the “How to Make Raw Flaked Oats” post, you will love this give-away! It is a grain grinder and grain flaker just for you so you can make your own raw sprouted oat flakes and other raw sprouted flours and flakes!

This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

To enter the contest, just leave a comment telling us why you are eating healthy and also approximately what percentage of raw food you eat.  You can only enter once and the contest closes on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00 am PST. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator. You must answer the questions for your entry to count.

In March I did a raw food detox to clear out winter eating and let go of some very unhealthy eating patterns. Since then I have stuck with it out about 90%.

I’ve been a health nut for about 15 years now. It all started when my sister took me to my first naturopathic doctor visit when I was 15 as I had been experiencing all sorts of health issues since a young age and she was convinced it was food related – and it was! I’ve been hooked on health ever since. I eat at least 2 of three meals raw each day so I’d say I’m at least 60% raw and loving it!!! Thank you for all of your stunning posts, Susan. I am forever grateful for your talent, and the time and effort you put into providing us with these wonderful free recipes. xo

I started eating healthier in hopes of avoiding all the sickness and disease that is associated with chemicals added to foods! Just thinking about what is in processed, etc foods makes me feel sick! I am about 85-90% raw and I love it!!!!

I eat healthy to be able to care for my special need little angel. We are eating more and more raw food, but we’re still at about 20-30 %. Learning process. I see a huge difference in her already. I’m so happy.

I just made pasta with oat and buckwheat flour, and chia instead of eggs. It was soo good. But with this I can make it from all kinds of seeds, since the selection is limited in the store.

I have just started eating raw in an effort to lower my blood pressure and cholesterol. I would love a chance to broaden my recipes by using this grain grinder.

I am eating health because I had cancer 5 years ago and have made a 180 degree turn with my eating habits. I eat about 80 to 90 % raw. I could use the grinder to continue my healthy life style. I love raw food and your blog.

I’ve been vegan 13 years for the animals and the last few months been raw most days for me. I really feel so much better when I do.

I try to eat healthy in attempts to undo what fast food, prepackaged foods have done to my poor body. It’s a slow process, but I keep trying. Ideally, I’d like to be eating 70% raw, but in actuality, I’m only eating 5-10% raw right now. But the garden is in, and as we harvest delicious, home-grown, organic veggies, that will go up! I have some great encouragers. My brother is vegetarian, and eats at least 70% raw. My difficulty is that my husband loves cooked food, and lots of meat. Hard to balance. But slowly he’s getting on board. 🙂 Having the tools is helpful. My dad is very healthy, and bought me an Excalibur dehydrator. Great tool. My mom has a vitamix that I’m welcome to use. I’d love to have a grinder!
