Grain Grinder and Flaker Give Away!

If you enjoyed the “How to Make Raw Flaked Oats” post, you will love this give-away! It is a grain grinder and grain flaker just for you so you can make your own raw sprouted oat flakes and other raw sprouted flours and flakes!

This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

To enter the contest, just leave a comment telling us why you are eating healthy and also approximately what percentage of raw food you eat.  You can only enter once and the contest closes on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00 am PST. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator. You must answer the questions for your entry to count.

I started eating raw to lose weight and to give my body the best nutrients I can. I have been doing it for a little over a month. I have lost 9 pounds and I would say I eat 75% raw. I am excited about my new lifestyle change!

I eat 80-90% raw because a few years back I was sick with allergies, HBP, among other things. I read about raw food & it’s healing powers, decided to take the chance. It works. I’m not completely 100% disease free, however, I know that to eat healthy has to be the mainstay of my life. Yes, I would love the flaker because there are some grains that I can’t find in my neck of the woods.

I am moving to a raw vegan lifestyle in hopes of overcoming the Rheumatoid Disease I have had for 15 years. Currently eat about 50% raw and working to increase it. Love your recipes!

I’ve tried to eat healthy for almost 30 years, but I didn’t have enough of the puzzle pieces for what “eating healthy” means. Now, in my fifties, I have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, just like my mom who died when she was 65. I’ve since been learning about eating low carb and raw. Last month, after learning disturbing info about instant oatmeal, I bought oat groats, but the only thing I know to do with them is grind them into flour in my blender or soak them whole as a cereal.

I eat and drink raw at every meal but am not 100% raw. Was introduced to raw food about 5 years ago and just 1 year ago incorporated more juice and soups/chowders into the meal plan and that change boosted my physical energy. Still have to work on the psychological bad habits that were imbedded with the low energy way of being. But having a wonderful life at age 69!

I eat 50 percent raw on average but have a range depending on what body needs at the time. I find that juice every morning keeps me healthy but raw food other times of the day satisfies cravings and gives me great joy in creating something good for my body

I am eating healthy because my wife has encouraged me to. I eat raw for breakfast usually.

I am eating healthy because God healed my body of very serious issues and I want to take care of my new body. I eat raw 85% of the time.
