How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

If you can’t wait for the contest to end and you need to get your hands on a copy right away, click here: How Not to Die or go to the Rawmazing store and order it there.

    Hi 🙂
Apart from keeping the fridge stocked with fresh fruit (but mostly vegetables) I LOVE to eat mostly vegetarian with fish. Morning I will have ACV, followed by Cinnamon Tea, then a black coffee… this takes me to about 10am ish (because I like to practice Intermittent Fasting… giving my body the break it deserves to repair and regenerate), then I have my morning vege smoothie… packed full of spinach, roasted sweet potato, beetroot, pumpkin (these are my sweetners) and then I add coconut milk, water, maca, spirulina etc. Lunch is a lovely salad of everything shredded (love my shredder) usually with a tin of salmon or tuna, plus lots of activated nuts (love the dehydrator) and seeds.
Snacks are carrot sticks, home made hommus or store bought if I can’t be bothered 😉 Dinner is usually salmon or vegetarian, light with a salad, or zuchinni noodles, accompanied by Kombucha. We live in the desert, so getting fresh organic produce is a 6 hour drive! We are part of an Organic Coop where we order each week, but its all stock dependant, so then the top ups are at the supermarket. We eat well, but recently have decreased our portions… just finding even the smaller portions are enough… plus being more in touch with what my body needs and when… is really up-lifitng.. that I am finally in control, and not my cravings 😀 Thanks for reading !

I aim to keep it simple and stress free. At home I prepare organic whole foods, about 60% raw and eat with gratitude. Away from home I choose the healthiest options available, without worry or concern and eat with gratitude. I usually carry a back up snack if there are absolutely no options that are appealing or simply take a mini fast break and drink water.

I eat an organic, mostly plant based diet and instill this lifestyle in my almost 4 year old daughter. Children do as they see and my girl drinks green juices, licorice root tea and will even eat raw garlic to avoid sickness 🙂 I also make it an effort to avoid products with chemicals at all costs.

Lots of greens! broccoli and spinach are one of our favourites and my hubby has recently turned onto salads which is so awesome. my hubby has advanced kidney disease from undetected hypertension and changes to his diet has made a really big difference in his GFR which is a key indicator of the health of his kidneys! so now when i say what do you want for dinner? his reply is salad!
Im so happy i found your website and thank you for all of your efforts!

I drink green smoothies every day, exercise regularly, keep a positive outlook on life, use natural products for cleaning, have got rid of plastic products, , don’t use sugar and have eliminated grains from my diet. I have incorporated alot more dark geen leafy vegetables into my diet and alot more berries. I’ve also got rid of carpet which was creating dust and this has improved my health unto no end.
