Hands down – my biggest challenge is being a full-time student when all you have is campus food! Even if you are reduced to salads, if the salad bar is closed, all you have left is cheese or lunch meats and awful dressing already integrated in the plastic box!

Raw food is great! The only downfall is that according to chinese medicine it can exacerbate spleen qi deficiency. This means you can see more signs of gas, bloating, and general digestive discomfort. Due to this diagnosis I try to balance between cooked and raw foods. But I love my morning smoothies!

I have struggled with eating raw for years. I have an old oster blender I use to help me with this issue. I have found it much easier to eat fresh and raw in a liquid form I have heard the nutri bullet is an amazing appliance but trying to help our five kids keeps me from purchasing it. It would truly be a blessing to win one! Thank you, sandy

my biggest challenge is getting all the raw vegetables – must go shopping at least once every week since raw food doesn’t stay fresh for very long. Winters are the hardest since fruit and veggies aren’t very tasty at that time of year.

GREAT idea, nutri bullet is a wonderful travel companion. Vitamix is a bit heavy. Eating raw organic is a challenge when going to a new place away from home if you cant bring all foods with you. There are sometimes not very good selections in the grocerys,AND there is always veggies on menus but not raw, crazy~ what you dont want it drowned in butter ???and what has it been covered with like at salad bars to keep fresh? the best is always is that all you are eating? LOL 🙂

Finding the proper ingredients can be a big challenge. Young coconut??? I’m a newbie at raw and I’m loving it! so is my body. The right appliances are essential and I’m working on growing my collection. Thank you for all your helpful info. 🙂

My biggest challenge with raw food is the time and effort involved. I wind up eating a lot of plain , unprepared raw fruit and veggies, because I often haven’t made time for the prep work. I’m not eating many raw nuts because by the time I think of soaking them, it’s already time to eat. I’m fighting a “fast and convenience food” mentality. Sometimes I still want to pop something in the microwave like I did before I was raw. A lot of times I just make a list of the specific fruits and vegetables I want to eat for their nutrient content, and just chop them all up and call it a salad.

I’d say it’s probably just mastering techniques…like getting the perfect vegan sushi rolls or sweetly spirally zucchini spaghetti. Other than that I love it!
