The hardest thing I think if finding things my family will eat. I have two boys 8 & 10 and they are hard to keep fed. My husband is coming along nice and will do smoothies and salad… but the boys… that is another story. I try to make some things with nuts like mock taco and I dehydrate chips. I need to be in the groove and not always fret about what to feed them.

ACH!!! I’m doing vegan – not raw!!! Although I have tried and enjoyed some of your recipes.

Originally I used to panic when it came time for being away from home, and eating out, but now there are so many more options for eating raw. Even at restaurants I don’t feel so much the odd one out when I order. My challenge is in winter, and wanting something hot.

Challenges with raw? Hmmm, where to begin? I’ve read about, and believe, and want to have a more raw foods intagrated into our daily meals… I just don’t know what to make or where to begin? Other than salads, what can I make that my family ( 3 young kids and a meat loving husband) will enjoy. I’ve looked at many recipe books, some seem too complicated, while others (again) are not something my family will eat. In addition, some books call for a lot of rice and/or pasta, which I also eat very little of. Many of the recipes I find look like side dishes rather than a meal???? I would LOVE some help. It’s a little of an overwhelming, though desired, transition.

My biggest challenge (at the moment) is getting beans into my diet. Canned beans give me gas. Home cooked dried beans (cooked with some seaweed) seem to do better. But, if I’m going to go to all that trouble of soaking and cooking, I want to make a huge batch and have enough to last 2 or 3 weeks. I don’t know how to store cooked beans. Can I freeze them??

My family has just begun the Raw way of life. Truthfully it seems we are only able to abide completely 2-3 days per week, however, we are adding Raw sides and limiting meat consumption to one day per week. We have come very close to eliminating refined sugar, use coconut oil as primary oil and looking forward to purchasing a dehydrator soon. Life is good, the Rawmazing recipes we have used have been easy, and taste amazing. It helps in making the switch.
