My biggest challenge in making raw foods is that I don’t have dehydrator and access to Thai Coconuts, which are featured in a lot of recipes. I also have a meat loving family, and they don’t like most of my “raw” recipes. I don’t have many cookbooks yet, so it’s a bit of a struggle that way too. ๐

My biggest challenge to eating healthy is to fight all the temptation around me as my family usually eat oily, salty and high calorie foods at home. My house is always fill with foods, be it healthy or unhealthy. So I need to have self-discipline and self control to choose the healthy ones over the unhealthy one. It can be challenging during family dinner whereby my mum prepare all the food as it can be either high in fat, salt, or MSG. Usually I will prepare my own food but occasion like chinese new year can be very challenging as the house will be fill w all the snacks and high fat and calorie dense foods. So the biggest challenge is the environment surrounding me and family influence.

The biggest challenge for me has been eliminating sugar from my diet for one month- I’m two weeks down and so far so good! I have have a reasonably healthy diet anyway- getting the daily essential proteins minerals and healthy fats I need. The main challenge has been at night after dinner when I feel like something sweet and satisfying, so I get on the Internet and go hunting for a sugar-free sweet treat but always find myself overwhelmed at the abundant selection of alternatives- I never know which ones are the most reliable! These books look amazing an I’m sure they’re filled with some amazing recipes! ๐

My biggest challenge is finding the fresh produce when I need it. figs, stone fruit etc are only available at certain times of the year. When I want to cook a recipe it’s then a matter of finding an out of season substitute
