I have lost nearly 100 pounds while experimenting with raw and other healthy recipes, but combating those old poor dietary habits can be a struggle sometimes.

My biggest challenge is time and knowledge as I just recently was introduced to the raw lifestyle.

My challenge is feeling I have to “cook” for the rest of my family , including three children who I KNOW hate healthy foods. I try to cook all the things they enjoy- mac and cheese, tacos, etc and tweak recipes to make it healthy but they can tell the difference and refuse to eat. Trying to cook a separate meal for myself is too difficult and I am not organized or disciplined enough to pull this off consistently. Not to mention the guilt I tend to feel!

my biggest challenge is living with other people that don’t eat clean. Sometimes seeing what they eat is distracting and can be a temptation.

My biggest challenge to eating healthy is taking the time to prepare healthy food in advance so I don’t turn into a cookie monster when I realize I’m starving and there’s nothing healthy to eat!!!

My biggest challenge is finding the prep time for raw dishes, but I’m getting better!

My challenge to eat healthy is a combination of information and intuition. . .realizing diet is not a one size fits all, being able to ferret out current information about dietary approaches, and being able to assess the validity and truths and separate out beliefs and hype. Being willing to think outside any boxes about food and diet, and find what my own inner guidance is suggesting is best for me. . and . . .trial and error . . .watching and assessing my own body and health over time. Also, flexibility. . .my body may need something for a while, and then not need it anymore. I need to be flexible in my approach, and attentive to results. . .seek out a variety of dietary sources and monitor myself in response. Currently this approach is working well. . .as I am enjoying a run of equanimity with my diet and how it affects my health.

My biggest challenge to eating raw/healthy is time. Balancing commuting, family, and cooking healthily meals for my family is a constant juggling act. 🙂
