KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I am new to raw, but am convinced my family is eating themselves sick. So, here I am trying to win a decent blender…

I am interested in raw foods for so many reasons! Everything about raw foods is inspiring to me, all of the remarkable, life changing stories and amazing health benefits! It is just simply amazing what you can create using only raw foods. Eating raw foods has given me so much more energy, clarity, and spiritual awareness. I healed myself of an autoimmune disease using whole raw vegan foods. I eat raw for myself and my health of course, but more importantly, I do it for my seventeen month old son! My raw vegan baby looooves green smoothies more than anything, everytime he takes a sip he shouts, “Mmmmm! Num num!” 🙂 unfortunanately, our blender is on its way out and I’ve been borrowing my dads, but he loves smoothies too so he needs it!

I was a Flexitarian.
Since my allergy never gets better, I started a vegan life style.
I am still learning and want to try to use the blender for raw-food cooking.
