KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I love your recipes and the fact you make it so easy to go “raw”. We are just getting our feet wet in this process of going raw. So far we are enjoying seeing significant energy increase and a decrease in skin/physical issues. Having a new blender would make the food prep more time efficient.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and wisdom.

I had the privledge of going to a raw food retreat last sept. in Washington state for 11 days and the head raw chef was a gourmet raw food chef from Austalia (RawAussie) and had 11 non cooking classes w/ her. I left feeling younger, all aches and pains gone, skin was gorgeous etc. I am trying to start back on at least a 50/50 raw vs cooked and inc the raw gradually. I want my energy and health back…

My blender handle is broken. I still use it…but can’t involve my kids with the sharp glass. I’d love to have a new one and get them blending with me.

All the chronic health problems I have could go away if I ate raw. Unfortunately, I can’t afford a blender, so winning this would really help.
