KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender Give Away!
This contest has ended.

I couldn’t help myself. I saw a video on how the KitchenAid blender beat both the Vitamix and the Blendtec blenders in a test. Considering it is about 1/4 to 1/3rd the price, I just had to get one and put it through it’s paces. So for the next few days, I will be blending and reporting. And on Friday…because I want you all to know how much I appreciate you, I will be giving it away! (Make sure you read the rules below or your entry won’t count.)

To enter, simply leave a comment in the comment section telling me why you are interested in raw food. It can be as simple as one word, or as long as you like. I will pick a winner on Friday with a random number generator and announce who won on Friday. Entries will close at noon on Friday.

So far, I am pretty darn impressed. This is what I am eating for lunch. Right this minute. Slurp!

No fancy food photography today. I was hungry. And too excited to get this posted. Hurry up and enter before I decide to keep this little beauty! If you can’t wait until Friday, you can find one here: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender
Ginger Peach Strawberry Smoothy
serves 2
- 1 cup frozen peaches
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1-inch piece of ginger
1. Place all ingredients in blender.
2. Blend away.
How did the blender do with this recipe? Great. The only thing I had to do that I wouldn’t have had to do with the Vitamix (because it has a plunger) is stop and push it down once or twice. It blended smoothly….even the entire orange.

I am super interested in learning and integrating more raw foods into my diet. I am playing with new recipes constantly, especially sugar free, vegan and gluten free nutrient packed sweet delights!! I actually contacted a property manager this morning about opening up a small store to have prepared goodies for sale and possibly a fresh smoothie bar and take home healthy dinners!! If I win this, I will know I am on the right track and even more prepared for this dream to unfurl! Good luck to all of us, friends!

Raw food is natural for your body, if you grow it you get the best out of your garden by eating it raw, and figuring ways out to have it the best way, you keep all the nutrients and vitamins that way

Thanks to advice from my wonderful chiropractor, I am now eating mostly raw vegan and my health is improving. No more tendonitis! I suffered from it for four years and couldn’t get rid of it until he advised that I quit all animal proteins and go mostly raw. I don’t always manage it like I should, but can tell the difference when I eat too much cooked foods (none of which are animal now). One of my daughters went vegetarian seven years ago and lost 55 pounds on her own. She is now moving towards raw and we have fun sharing recipes. I have lost thirty pounds so far and still have a way to go, but it sure feels better! The KitchenAid blender looks awesome! It would be a great addition to my kitchen. Thanks for the wonderful recipes and comments you post.
