Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator.
I hope to fix that problem for one of you!
The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!
Here are the rules:
Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.
Only one entry allowed per person.
Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.
Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.
I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

I used to live with my cousin who lived a raw lifestyle, I thought she was crazy working to make all of these foods from scratch. And then I tried her flax seed crackers. I still think about them when I get a craving for something crunchy. I’ve never been able to recreate them because I don’t have a dehydrator, so of course I would love one!
My question is, how do you incorporate a raw foods lifestyle into a family a little hesitant to try a new way of eating?
My family has become social eaters and we always make the most unhealthy stuff when we get together, it would be awesome if they would give more things a try!

When a recipe calls for soaked nuts and I’ve already soaked and dehydrated them, do I need to re-soak them?

My question is: Can those who have gone all-raw explain the difference in how they feel now compared to their previous diet?

When eating raw, is there any danger of getting too much of a good thing – like too much fiber or too many enzymes – that would be mitigated by eating small amounts of cooked food?

I have a two year old daughter, and we recently decided to eat vegan. After lot’s of research, I want to eat a high raw vegan diet. What kinds of food would you recommend for toddlers?
Thanks!

I am so excited about this giveaway. I am new to raw cooking and find that I could really use a dehydrator.
My question is: What is the best way to get good sources of protein when on a raw food diet? I workout and need extra protein and would normally get that from meat.
