Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator.
I hope to fix that problem for one of you!
The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!
Here are the rules:
Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.
Only one entry allowed per person.
Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.
Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.
I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

I thought coconut oil and coconut butter were just two different words for the same thing. I recently saw a reciped calling for both. What’s the difference? Is coconut oil just melted coconut butter?

some say food value is in the vitamins, some say food value is in the minerals… robert gray, author of ‘the colon health handbook’ said the food energy is in the water. i’d like to know what you think, susan. what say you? do you get as energized from dehydrated foods as from whole foods filled with water?

Since we’re just beginning our journey into raw food, we’ve been at it a month and are really enjoying it, how do you prioritize the small appliances…juicer, blender, food processor, dehydrator…and where do you store them all!? (limited counter space!)
Thanks!

I have heard that it is dangerous to eat sprouts at the young age since it emits some type of toxin. Is this true? I love sprouts and don’t want to give up making and eating them!!

I wanted to know when I make almond milk at home it tastes delicious but I can feel it’s greasy. I wanted to know if homemade almond or any nut/seed milk is fatty? I know I can go and drink store bought milk. I do not trust them so I avoid it. I have searched on other websites. Some say it’s not high in fat others say IF you want to gain weight then drink nut/ seed milk.
Thank you.
