Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator.
I hope to fix that problem for one of you!
The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!
Here are the rules:
Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.
Only one entry allowed per person.
Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.
Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.
I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

I have heard that Jesus was not only an Essene but also a Raw-Foodist. Do you have any information to confirm or back-up this statement?
P.S. I would love to win the dehydrator. Thanks for giving each of us a chance to do so.

I love dried fruit! Is there much of a nutrient difference between sun-dried fruits & dehydrated fruits? What is your favorite dried fruit?

I am new to raw food diet but it is something that I am very interested in and hope to change my way of eating for health reasons. My only concern is that I am already underweight and I am afraid I will end up losing more weight by being on this type of diet. How much food should I eat daily in order to at least maintain my weight and to hopefully gain some weight the natural and healthy way? Can you give me an idea of what a person who wants to gain weight should typically eat? Thank you for your time.

I’m dabbling with raw food eating. Although I don’t know that I could ever go completely raw, I do know that my body is happier as I incorporate more raw food eating into my diet. My question . . . How do you eat raw and not get bored? Even though I follow lots of raw blogs, I find that all the food looks and seems the same.
I’ve been dreaming of making my own raw flax seed crackers, so the chance of winning a dehydrator, is exciting! Thanks so much!

I’m thinking of all the things I could finally try with a dehydrator and practically falling over myself to type this entry. A question: what is the best raw source of protein? I know that the “where do you get your protein” question is way overdone, but when it comes to raw food I see nuts, some grains, and that’s pretty much it. Anything else?

Wondering if anyone has tried to make raw water kefir with success? I know that the benefits are supposed to surpass even raw kombucha, yet having trouble finding a good source. I have been trying a lot of fresh raw recipes and love raw fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds, yet don’t have a dehydrator, so haven’t been able to try out any dehydrated recipes yet!
