Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator. I hope to fix that problem for one of you!

The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!

Here are the rules:

Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.

Only one entry allowed per person.

Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.

Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.

I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

    Hi–

It’s recently been suggested to me that I may have picked up a parasite somewhere that is the cause of my near-inevitable bloating after eating (…eating anything.) I’m high-raw, but am unaware of what the viewpoint(s) on parasites & parasite cleansing is in raw circles. I’d appreciate any input.
Not to mention a dehydrator. (= EXCELLENT.)
    Thanks!

I just started experimenting with a raw foods diet (and love it!) but am a bit worried about how long I will be able to stay away from SAD foods that I love (especially when stressed); Any tips on how to sustain my passion for raw foods?

There are some really great questions already. I’m looking for some great alternatives to sugary snacks for my boys. I would love to know your top snack recipes for your dehydrator.

I’d like to know what is the energy consumption on a dehydrator like this one? I’ve used so far my regular oven which does not make me feel happy, knowing how much energy I waste just to prepare my food:(

    Great giveaway!

My question is: My boyfriend has type 1 diabetes. He was diagnosed when he was 10. I’ve heard a lot of stories that a raw diet can significanly increase the quality of life for a diabetic. Is this true? Even for someone with type one whose body does not produce any insulin at all?

    THANK YOU!

I would absolutely love to win the dehydrator. This is the only kitchen equipment I do not have. I have a goal of losing 70 lbs. and I would be grateful to have this tool to help me on that journey. Thank you.

I would love to win a dehydrator!! My question: Do you feel the need to watch your level of nuts, oils, and other fats to avoid gaining weight or do you feel that by eating these foods at a level that feels right for your stomach and body a healthy weight will happen naturally? Thank you!

Im researching the raw lifestyle again, but last time I transitioned to raw foods I started one meal a day raw for a week, then two meals a day for a week then all three meals a day for a week, by week three I was clumsy, cloudy and not feeling at all well. My question is is this normal? Perhaps did I go too fast and if so then how do you transition to a raw lifestyle?
