Dehydrator Giveaway!

The time has come to do our first giveaway and is it ever a good one! Many raw food recipes require a dehydrator and if you don’t have one, it can be challenging. One of the most common questions I get is how to prepare the raw food recipes without a dehydrator.
I hope to fix that problem for one of you!
The great folks over at TSM Dehydrators have donated a 300.00, 5 shelf, stainless Dehydrator, the D5! I couldn’t be happier to be able to offer this! I have one of these dehydrators. It is my favorite. It is quiet, sturdy, very easy to pull apart and clean and does a great job at temperature control. I have checked. Continue for the rules!
Here are the rules:
Enter by simply asking a question you have about raw food in the comment area.
Only one entry allowed per person.
Entries will close at 6pm on Thursday, March 18th, 2010.
Winner will be randomly selected and announced following the contest.
I will be answering your questions in upcoming blog posts!

How can you be sure of food safety when growing your own sprouts?

How can you make savory foods in a dehydrator? I’ve seen plenty a recipe for macaroons, chips, and lots of snacky things…but can you put together some dinner foods?
This is a great blog you have here!

Hey, great site! I’m new to raw food. If I don’t win this giveaway, is there a way to dehydrate foods in my oven?

Love your blog – so beautiful! My question is about eating raw nuts and seeds following a raw food diet. I’m concerned about over consumption. I always seem to fall back on eating raw cashews and almonds and I pretty sure I’m eating way too much of them. What’s been your experience?

My Question is: I am creatively stumped as well as lacking equipment for raw foods cuisine. i am wondering what are some of you favorite quick and easy comfort food recipes that only require a knife and some imagination?

Wow – this is a very generous giveaway.
Question: What ways do you use various seaweeds (e.g. dulse flakes, whole dulse, alaria, kelp, etc.)? Do you have recipes?
Thanks for the opportunity (and, as always, having awesome posts)!

Ohh, great giveaway. I can’t even imagine what I could do with a dehydrator! My question for you is this:
I eat a LOT of kelp noodles, incorporating them into a lot of different meals that I make; however, I have had a hard time finding any real recipes for their use. Do you happen to have any?
Thanks!!

how do you handle critisism or any negativity from others when it comes to your diet?
i know it’s the worst possible way to react, but i get really defensive when ‘poked’ about my diet. i love sharing knowledge, but when someone is rude it is so hard to be patient or let it go.

I’d like to ease my children into more raw food and wonder what kind of kid friendly snacks and/or breakfast items I could make in a dehydrator. They already love many of the recipes that I’ve made from your site, and I’m excited about broadening their horizons a bit.
