    Hi,
My journey to healthy eating started 4 years ago after I read a book titled Yoga and Vegetarianism by Sharon Gannon. Right then I decided to become a vegetarian and never looked back. Few years ago I started having digestive issues. I then started to eliminate more foods including eggs, dairy, and processed foods. Not until I did a month long cleanse with Karyn Calabrese of Chicago did I learn about all the added benefits of a raw food diet. Now, I strive to eat 80% raw. I enjoy my daily morning juice, green smoothies, and salads. I also play around with recipes for my dehydrator. I was never a cook, but I love preparing raw foods and sharing them with friends. I find raw foods have so much more flavor, I feel more energized, and I feel good about eating a kind diet that does not contribute to suffering of animals or the Mother Earth.
    Peace, Tracy

    Hi,
I have just begun to embark on my personal Raw Food lifestyle change. I was a vegetarian for 6 years when I was younger but changes in my life have caused me to loose sight of my values. I have decided that it is time to stand by my convictions and take charge of my spiritual, mental and physical health. I am excited to feel stronger, more energized and more at peace with all things. After just a few days of incorporating more raw foods and leaving meat behind, I already feel like the light is peaking through the clouds, inside and out. I have a lot of adjustments to make in my kitchen and pantry and this grinder would be a great help! Thank you for this wonderful blog and inspirational recipes!

Over 40 years ago I had a very bad kidney. I was afraid to go to the doctor because my father died of kidney cancer. I had my own health radio show at the time and had an American Indian Medicine woman on often. I told her that I had this problem. She told me every day when I meditate or several times a day to ask…”What do I need to do to vibrate at the vibration of God”…Within 2 weeks, out of the blue, I was invited up to Hippocrates when they were in Boston if I would do 3 shows from there…I did and my kidney infection was gone in 2 weeks…all raw foods…I then went back to my normal organic diet…20 Years later my daughter was ill and I developed cancer. I went back on raw foods and we cured myself and daughter. Today my husband and I have our own alternative health practice. He is a microbiologist. I do the nutritional counseling. We are 99.9% raw…Occassionally we have some steamed veggies..No one believe are age, our energy or our strength…Raw’s the way to go…I just found your site and made your delicious Avocado/Kale Pesto over Zucchini..Due to being a cancer survivor I don’t do too much fruit….I am expanding my equipment base and would love to have the grain flaker…

I just felt toxic. I thought with out food, I will die, but I also felt like the food I was eating was killing me slowly. Then I began to educate myself on the food and food type products I was eating and I made a lifestyle decision to eat only non-processed foods, raw fits the bill. Great energy, great health, wouldn’t change now for anything.

I’m just getting started on the research into raw foods. I am 240 lbs which is 95 lbs heavier than I was in 1997. At 39 years of age I should still have lots of energy but instead my health issues are getting more numerous and more severe. My wife and my 5 children are why I am considering eating raw.

Hi, I eat healthy because I love food, I love that it tastes great and that it makes me feel good. I am on and off raw as it is hard to combine with my children’s carnivorous preferences, but whenever I have a day of rest and time, I try out one of your recipes. Your site is my main inspiration in the raw food world 🙂 I have found out that my ideal diet contains between 50 and 80 % raw. I notice that it varies, but that might be because I never get accustomed to it for real. I have also noticed that my body really thrives on fermented foods, so whenever I am able to include that in my everyday diet, I have a lot more energy and well being:)
Good luck with all your inspired work!

I eat healthy because my body is the temple of God and I want to give Him the best place to dwell. We are what we eat and I want to live a full and active life for as long as I can. I eat 80%+ raw and have for many years. I feel so much better on a healthy raw food diet and it is so delicous!

Hello my name is Laura. Im 100% raw. I have been raw vgan since March. Ive been veggie for over a year before becoming raw. I decided to be vegan after I stopped smoking. I had gained a lot of weight and was trying to figure out a healthy life style that I could actually live with and not be another fad diet. After researching I found that many foods that we consume are poison. I couldnt believe it. The more I researched the more I became disgusted. I get made fun of at work and I get mocked by my peers but I dont care. Then I watched the documentary Fat sick and nearly dead..I was intrigued with the juicing concept and I ended up buying the manual lexen juicer..Ive since upgraded to my wonderful Breville juicer. I also have been learning to dehydrate some foods and Ive been researching and foraging edible plants from the wild. I will tell you I have been on such a journey and I love it so much. If I won this grain grinder I will add one more food type to my menu. I do have a seed sprouter. So now I juice every day. I do juice cleanses and I have lost 20 pounds so far. I feel fantastic!
