I decided to start eating healthier a couple of months ago, slowly changing to a raw diet. I do not want to grow any older with the thought of living on prescription medications. Quality of life is important to me, so being strong well into my later years is a priority. I have watched family members and their health slowly decrease while the medications the Doctor gave them increase. No Thank You not for me. Our health is all we have and if we don’t clean up our diets before it’s to late, it will be too late to reverse damages done.

Thanks, Susan, for this generous opportunity. As a retired chiropractic physician, I have eaten healthfully for 26 years. Three years ago, I discovered I had allergies to gluten, corn and soy. I had to get creative and focused in my food choices. I live in an area with a long growing season, so the fresh vegetables ever-present in our garden enable me to eat approximate 85% raw. This helps me feel more energetic during my daily activities.

My mother is 84 and in an assisted living facility because her poor health does not allow her to live independently. Every time I speak with her, I re-commit to living the healthiest way possible so that I can enjoy an active life in my 80’s and beyond! Kitchen tools like the grain grinder make it easier to do just that.

Keep up the awesome work on your books and blog. I enjoy reading them and sharing them with my family.

33% Raw. I guess it doesn’t sound like much compared to most who’ve written in. I just started eating raw about 4 weeks ago, and my raw intake consists primarily of my daily green breakfast smoothie, which rocks my world every morning. I want to go further with raw, maybe even all the way to 100%. I’m setting no limits. I just want to see where this adventure takes me. Research and reading led me to the raw world, and now my bookshelves are lined with the stories, advice, and recipes of such raw luminaries as David Wolfe, Matthew Kenney, Victoria Boutenko, Anne Wigmore, and of course, Susan Powers. I read in several of those texts that every human cell regenerates, and that over the course of seven years, we essentially become an entirely new being. The idea of regenerating into a new, healthy, fully realized, “rawmazing” superhuman in seven years makes me look forward with eager anticipation to my birthdays in the years to come for the first time in a long time! I’ll be 45 in 13 days; seven years gets me to 52. I’ll let you all know how I’ve turned out when that day comes. To be continued…

I eat healthy because I feel more energized, lighter and feeling fantastic. I started 80% raw 3 years ago and now on pretty much 70/30%; on some days I am 80/10/10. I love this lifestyle!

I started eating raw the beginning of this year in an attempt to reverse the damage I have done to my body for the past 63 years. Currently I am about 75 percent raw. My biggest challenge is the elimination of my morning coffee. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate them.

Thank you, Susan, for doing this. I really enjoy your website and recipes, but I wish I had more of the tools for proper preparation…. Vitamixes, etc. are just right out of my league currently. As a consequence, I would be thrilled to win this grain flaker. Not only am I trying to increase the level of raw in my life, but fermentation also fascinates me as a way to increase health, and I’d love to be able to make fresh, homemade sourdough bread. I eat healthy to battle various health issues and because it makes me feel do much better. In the past year and a half I’ve swung all the way from a crazy Atkins-ish super carnivorous diet to a gluten, dairy, soy-free vegan diet and it is so wonderful. I tried to go raw at the same time, but 100% was too much a culture shock on top of all the other changes, so right now I am about 40% with plans to increase gradually. God bless you!

I am eating healthy because I love how it makes me feel. I also know it’s better for the environment and animals. I am also tired of ‘big business’ making tons of money off of people getting sick! This is how my journey started to really healthy food as opposed to the ‘percieved’ healthy foods I ate growing up.
My diet is about 80% raw. And I love it! 🙂

Why do I eat healthy? I had to do something or I would die. I needed to change and I knew it but I didn’t until 4 years ago I was told I was pre-diabetic. That was it, that was my wake up call. I took all processed out of my diet and added Green smoothies. Then fought the battle of my weight too. I started to see changes but they were slow. Then I found doTERRA essential oils and and learned more about raw foods so I have incorporated that in too. We so very rarely eat out. I just don’t want the crap that is made out there. I know what it does to me. I know teach others how they can do it too. I love your recipes. I have tried them at family get togethers and some didn’t believe they where made the way they were. Life is to short to live in pain and miserable. I am turning 50 next saturday and I have never felt so young.

I am eating healthier and more raw foods because I have been having digestive problems. Eating raw has been helping to heal my digestive tract! I would love to be able to grind my own flours!
