Grain Grinder and Flaker Give Away!
If you enjoyed the “How to Make Raw Flaked Oats” post, you will love this give-away! It is a grain grinder and grain flaker just for you so you can make your own raw sprouted oat flakes and other raw sprouted flours and flakes!
This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

You can only enter once and the contest closes on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00 am PST. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator. You must answer the questions for your entry to count.

I love your blog and your recipes! I have been eating raw for almost 11 years, since being diagnosed with cancer. Right now I am eating about 80% raw and feel so much better than when eating cooked food. What a blessing to have so many wonderful bloggers to learn from now, which sure didn’t exist 11 years ago!

I have been trying to eat healthier for the last 36 years. I am vegan gluten free and probably about 40% raw. I am married to a southern meat and potatoes kinda guy which is a deterrent to my going totally raw. It is just overwhelming to have to prepare food for both of us much of the time. So I am trying to work it to where he feeds himself… which is quite the battle. If I do not cook he eats canned soup and american cheese REALLY!!! So my goal is to figure away where I have the time to feed us both and I am at least 75% raw in the next 3 months.
Thanks for an amazing blog and a chance to win this wonderful tool!

I am diabetic and eating more raw foods combined with alternative day fasting has helped me to control fasting blood sugars as well as lose weight. I eat about 30 to 60% raw foods.

My body performs better and I feel and think clearer when I eat raw foods. It really makes a difference in what you eat and how you feel on a daily basis. I have ate raw for months at a time and when I eat something that isn’t raw I really feel the difference in how I feel but when I ate those foods all the time my body didn’t realize the difference. I try to eat 80% raw when possible.

I have been on insulin for over 20 years as a result my pancreas no longer produces my own natural insulin.
I am hoping to continue reducing the amount of insulin I am curently taken as well as to get off insulin completely.
I am 90 to 100 % raw.

Started to experiment with raw food 6 months ago. It was time to let go of old eating patterns and drop unnecessary weight/baggage. Have been having a lot of smoothies and love raw cheesecakes. It is wonderful to feel great about what I am eating, all the new food that is part of my life, rather than focusing on the foods ‘I shouldn’t have’.
I have no forbidden list, just foods that my body doesn’t actually enjoy eating.

I was a plump, middle-aged, embittered, single-mother. After several years of declining health (& growing thighs & malaise) I decided to eat less junk food. Then I started to: eat more fruits & veggies, walk the dogs around the block, and read a book! I’m now vegan & eat about 75% raw (LOVE this site!), walk miles, & even dragged my old NordicTrac up from the basement. Besides having so much energy, eating well & raw has revived my sense of joy & zest for life that I thought was lost forever. SURPRISE RESULT: Everyone says that I look “HAPPY.” And, you know what? I am HAPPY! I let my hair go white & have grown it long, taken up yoga, & on Mother’s Day, my grown son told me, “You know, Mom, you’re kinda this cool, old hippy.” I am still beaming! Put down the aerosol “cheese,” pick up an apple, take it outside with a naughty book, enjoy the sunshine and your life!
