I eat healthy because I recently had a preterm baby followed by a miscarriage I am happily pregnant again.. Since the preterm baby and miscarriage I have realized that proper nutrition can prevent so many problems, I now do regular detoxing, try to eat mostly raw foods daily as well as fresh juices, and probiotics.

I am about 70% raw most of the time and I have been struggle with this for some time. I went raw last year after a miscarriage and then ended up with candida, which I am still working on overcoming. I choose this way of life because I realized after having two children and the fact that I was vegan for several years, why not take the next step. Unfortunately, going raw has proven very difficult and expensive as I am unable to buy a lot of organic foods. I want to stay as young as I can and be able to run with my children and take trips and truly enjoy life. I believe going raw is the best way to do this. Also, being raw or choosing a healthy lifestyle really helps me to have clarity of thought and I able to see the world as it truly is. Thanks for the opportunity to share my story.

I am 72 years you and I am 80%-90% raw because I have had a serious health challange and find that when I dropped eating all processed foods and started eating 100% organic that I was able to at least get a handle on my health problem and now I am getting better and better every day… and besides that, I love the color, taste and the great nutrition of raw organic food. I love making all the raw recipes and making up my own. My kitchen now has 3 Excalibur dehydrators, 2 juicers, 3 food processors, and 2 double decker huge automatic sprouters and just tons of kitchen gadgets to play with… and play I do!

We are eating raw about 75%. My daughter is following the Raw till 4 plan and then we cook plant based for dinner. We have been eating whole foods plant based for 3 years with raw smoothies every day for breakfast. Can’t imagine not having smoothies. I have recently started hunting the net for oil free dressings for salads as well. I am still learning the raw food method and look forward to your posts every week! We are eating this way because my husband just went through a health crisis with his thyroid being hyperthyroid for 4 weeks while waiting to get into the Endocrinologist, in the mean time he began having chest pain. During this time he was put on meds for the thyroid, the chest pain got worse after being put on the thyroid meds. Dr. ordered a stress test, took another 4 weeks to get in for that, that night after the test (5 hours later) we got a call that he needed to be admitted to the cardiac unit and in the morning had a heart cath. 100% of his coronary artery. He is now on meds for the rest of his life, has a stent which saved his heart from damage. His cholesterol was 151 at the time of his hospitalization but is on cholesterol meds anyway. SO. We are eating this way to try and get ALL of his meds as low as possible. What I have learned is you can’t outrun genetics, but as the cardiologist said “your diet is the reason you didn’t have a massive heart attack”.

I am eating 80% raw and working my way up. I have been veg for over 20 years and need to eat raw due to autoimmune issues.

I’ve started eating more raw foods because I just don’t feel very good most of the time. I’d say raw foods make up about 25% of my diet.

Hi! I eat the way I do because it makes me feel better (physically and emotionally). I am 100% raw 6 to 8 months a year and then it drops down to 80% in the winter when I crave hot soup!

We eat about 50% raw, 99% organic, 50% local.
It’s by choice and we love how our we and our children are
    Thriving!

Health, transformed from what most of us grew up with, is a work in progress. I’m so working on it. It’s really frustrating that unhealthy choices are so much more affordable than the true healthy ones. Working on a budget, I’m doing what I can; juicing at least once a week (Acme juicer bought used for cheap), eating fresh foods from the farmer’s market, and using more nuts and seeds in food whenever I can! Loving it!
