I eat the way I do (whole foods vegan) to improve my health, and to keep my blood pressure under control. I’d say 90% of what I eat is raw. Love raw foods!

I’m eating about 75% raw. I care about eating healthy because I think what we eat directly affects how we feel. If a car is designed to run on gasoline but you’re pouring water into the fuel tank the engine will not run properly and will stop altogether. We must give our bodies the fuel it was designed to utilize for the same reason, we’re just much more resilient. I also want to have a positive impact on how my son views food.

I am a cancer survivor and the treatments were very physically draining and damaging. I don’t complain too much because I am alive! I am working on regaining my strength and want to keep the cancer from returning. My husband and I are 90% raw.

Great site. I use it almost everyday!! I love to make the meals at least 4 to 5 days a week. I love my de-hydrator. Thank you for the ideas and keep them coming. I eat about 60% raw of my overall diet. This site has made it so much easier to do.

I am eating healthier because I am trying to heal my body. I have finally found out that western medical care is not what a body needs (I was uninformed). I eat about 45 percent raw, but I’m trying to eat more raw.

I eat healthy because I can really tell the difference when I don’t. My diabetes is diet controlled only (no meds), and eating healthy helps me stay that way. I eat about 80% raw, and am teaching my kids the benefits of eating healthy and raw too. You would be proud of my 9 year old. I recently overheard him trying to explain to his neighborhood friends why eating McDonalds, and things like artificial colors and flavors are bad for you. It was a proud Mommy moment. Thanks for the great blog. I am enjoying working my way through your older posts.

I’m pleased to day we are now having at least 4 out of 7 days vegetarian meals a week. I must admit the desserts right now are the only raw stuff we are eating but for my husband and daughter that’s an improvement 🙂

Always enjoy trying your new recipes. My husband who is 84 is about 90% raw. I am about 60% raw but working on getting that higher. After surviving breast cancer 19 years ago, It matastisized and is in my spine. Latest Pet scan showing no activity and I really think that changing my diet has had a lot to do with that. Trying to avoid as many chemicals from food as possible and the best way to do that is raw and you make that easy with your recipes

I do the best I can eating raw and healthy, but I do so on food stamps. Sometimes it is not so easy. I cannot afford a lot of the fancy kitchen gadgets needs to make a lot of raw recipes. I noticed that one lady wrote she ate 80-90% raw–but she has the blessing of several dehydrators, juicers, food processors, etc. With all that my guess is she can afford to go to the health food stores too–unfortunately the ones in my area do not take food stamps. I try to eat healthy due to Fibromyalgia and other health conditions, but it is not easy to cook raw for a family of 4 with 2 small children. This item would certainly help! I don’t think a raw vegan diet, or an ultra-healthy diet, is realistic for those of us living below the poverty line. It is just the way it is, I guess. I do the best I can with the recipes I can find and the energy I have, but I am only eating probably a 20% raw diet. I wish we could plant a garden–but we have tried may times and our soil is poor. Nothing grows. I would like to make a raised bed garden, I have been collecting containers, no I just need to find good soil to put in them that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg!
