I turned raw while on the road, touring with theatre. Even though it was hard to find fresh and organic produce (and to prepare them in your hotel room) when you’re traveling through remote places, I found that the benefits outweighed the trouble by far: I had much more energy, my mood was better, my skin, hair and teeth were in better shape and I stopped worrying about my weight and looks (which is hard to do in theatre). I am about 80% raw now, and always learning how to take even better care of myself, my husband and visiting friends through food.
Thank you for your beautiful blog to help me with that!

Hello! I was just recommended to read your blog by a kind customer I met at Whole Foods in Raleigh today while searching for Raw almonds. I have been recommended by my physician to switch to a gluten free dairy free diet. This leaves mainly raw fruits and veggies, eggs, and free range organic meats and nuts as my new staple foods. I can’t wait to learn more through your blog and would so enjoy the grinder to try new ways of using gluten free grains like quinoa and teff or beans. Thank you!

I eat about 90% raw and started about a little over a year. I was a vegetarian but wasn’t eating healthy (fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc.) I was always tired and borderline obese. Over the years, my siblings would tell me they had developed diabetes and heart problems. I did not want to end up on this route so I looked into raw foods/vegan lifestyle after a long time friend became a vegan. She doesn’t look a day over her age and has a lot of energy. Currently, I’m down to a good weight, exercise every day (walking, running, yoga, etc.) and I feel great. I’m trying to get my meat eating husband on board for better health. I would love to win the grain grinder/flaker!

I eat healthy and raw because it tastes so much better and carries much more vital life energy. Since I live in Minnesota, I look forward to increasing the amount of raw food I eat in the summer, when more local fresh food is in season, along with what I can grow in my backyard! My goal is to eat 75% raw this summer. I have been eating about 50% raw through the long winter this year. Thank you for the chance to win a great new tool for my kitchen!

We started eating healthy when both of my children were diagnosed with food allergies. Combined they’re allergic to eggs, wheat, dairy, peanuts, and kiwi. At first we felt limited and tried to find fake foods to replace the foods we had to take out. But that was expensive and didn’t feel right so we switched our family to a whole foods, mostly plant based diet and LOVED how it changed us! I’d say we’re about 30 to 40 percent raw. Thanks for the opportunity!

I eat healthy food in order to fuel myself with the best energy possible. I am 95% vegan and about 75% raw. Thanks for the awesome recipes!

I feel much better when I eat as much raw as possible. The percentage varies, but I’d say 50-65% unless I’m feeling really energetic and have extra time.

    thank you

I eat 99% raw vegan, with the remaining 1% a cooked vegan meal. I’ve been eating this way for 4 years now to promote healthy aging.
