Four years ago I was unfit and unhealthy weighing in at around 115kg. I decided to do something about it and while researching I came across the raw food movement. I did not go raw overnight and am still in the transition period with about 50% or so of my diet raw. I did drop meat and milk products. During this time my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and as a result I also started juicing fruit and vegetables along with smoothies. I’ve dropped my weight down to 85kg and have become a reasonably competitive cyclist over this time. Still have a long way to go but enjoying the ride.

i am thankful i found out about healthy living in my late teens, before birthing my 6 daughters and growing most of our food, raising them purely vegan. now in my early 60’s i’m feeling like i need more raw food now that the long Montana winter is passing into spring. i’m about 75% now and hope to be doing closer to 90% or more by summer!! this grinding tool seems like it would be a great addition and support more variety. thanks for all the great recipes and inspiration!!

A diagnosis of multiple sclerosis 6 years ago made me reevaluate the way I lived, and as part of this I radically changed my diet, eventually deciding to move to a raw food diet. My diet is now about 90-95% raw.

I am starting to incorporate Raw foods into my diet. I just started a Curiously Raw Food group to help others and myself learn about Raw foods. I am just beginning this journey and look forward to trying new raw recipes. I love how I feel when I eat raw. I work with all sorts of people in helping them eat a more healthy. I would say I’m about 50% raw. I’ve tried to move my family from the SAD to a Raw Vegan diet. Its a slow process but we are discovering new things to eat and they are at least tasting and liking it. . .sometimes. I enjoy discovering new pieces of equipment and didn’t know this existed. I hope I win, it will be cool to use it. 🙂

I eat raw because I see a lot of unnecessary sickness in my line of work. As a medical missionary, massage and colon therapist in the states and abroad in my travels to help the sick to regain their health from cancer, diabetes, liver and kidney problems and much more just through a raw diet, hydro therapies, colonics, massages, exercise, proper rest, temperance, the right amount of water in the body, total trust in God and the use of herbal remedies. I know for a fact that I never want to go through life unhealthy so that is why I stress a healthy lifestyle to restore health to those willing to follow a regime as the one outlined above and live this way for the rest of their lives. I would guess about 75 to 80% raw at times depending on what country I am in at the time.

Two years ago I had reached the absolute most miserable point, my body had hit menopause and I felt like a wet blanket was covering me. I tried to hang on for the ride and felt going under, tried patches, pills, etc and was not feeling much better. My awesome sister-in-law recommended going raw and even send me some products, books and a juicer. I went 100% raw overnight and within two weeks I was a different person. I keep up with my new found health practice for about a year. I did miss soups and other comfort food and little by little I started to regress. I’ve been discouraged and feeling unable to make the choice to go back to what I know to be the best for my body. I’ve looked at Rawmazing lately and want to get back on track. Sure would love and hope to be the winner of this fun machine to help me make my way back to raw eating!

I am a single mom whom at the moment is making a low income however I know that my body has been desiring to go Raw. The more raw foods I eat the better I feel and I experience so much more energy and the feeling of lightness. I definately eat more raw than not, however I am working towards being fully raw, I cant wait to see how I feel after doing that for a period of time! 🙂

I need a grain grinder to make my own rolled & flaked grains as I have Coeliac disease and have found that some companies here put normal flour in flaked or ground products to bulk it up! I eat about 90% raw and started about a little over a year. I was a vegetarian but wasn’t eating healthy (fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc.) I was always tired and borderline obese. Over the years, my siblings would tell me they had developed diabetes and heart problems. I did not want to end up on this route so I looked into raw foods/vegan lifestyle after a long time friend became a vegan. She doesn’t look a day over her age and has a lot of energy. Currently, I’m down to a good weight, exercise every day (walking, running, yoga, etc.) and I feel great. I’m trying to get my meat eating husband on board for better health. I would love to win the grain grinder/flaker!

I am about 85% raw. My inspiration comes from becoming a Mother to four beautiful children. It took the birth of my first child nearly seven years ago to make me realise how truly precious life is. I want for my gorgeous kidliwinks to be as healthy as they can be, allowing them to embrace life with happy and healthy bodies and minds. I want that for myself and my husband too. I recognise the immense responsibility I have as their mother and primary caregiver to fulfil my family’s dietary requirements in the most gentle and successful way and I believe raw and whole foods are the key to vibrant health. I looked at the grain grinder when you posted this recipe, but for now it’s out if reach but I put it to the universe that I would love one and thought this competition is the answer! Thank you!
