I have eaten healthy for many years. While raising my children it was always important to eat a healthy balanced diet. I have always cooked and baked from scratch. I grow a large garden from heirloom seeds every year, and still do now that it is just my husband and I now. I freeze, can, ferment and preserve as much as possible to get us through the majority of the year. While raising our children we always tried to be as self sufficient as possible. We are about 98% processed food free and think of ourselves as clean eaters. We fish often, otherwise only buy locally raised fish or wild caught. We only drink raw cow or raw goat’s milk, nothing from the store. We purchase what we can’t raise from certified organic farmers near by where we live, including our raw honey.

My husband and I have a long line of history with our families having diseases lurking in the background. My husband struggles with his Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure. The last few years I have changed his ways of eating, and see good changes for him. I personally have had extreme issues with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue, RA and Endometriosis. Seven years ago I was struck by lightning and all of my issues intensified with side effects that are now going to be a part of my life for the rest of my life. So, it was crucial even more so for me to make even more changes in our eating. 🙂 I have eaten many foods raw for as long as I can remember. I prefer them raw. I have added juicing to our diets as well. My husband, I say is work in progress, as he is just getting used to changes with raw. I am guessing I am about 85% to 90% when it comes to raw… I too am work in progress.

Thank you for this awesome giveaway!! 🙂

What a fabulous giveaway! Thanks so much for the chance to win. I eat healthy because it makes me feel good physically and mentally. I love having the energy to do all that I want to do and be the best me possible! I love to inspire people to make changes to their own lifestyles too, especially other young people like me (I’m 23). Spread that raw glow!
I’m probably eating 70% raw right now but it’s not something I stress about, I just go with what feels right at the time.

I eat healthy to BE healthy, feel good and avoid getting sick. We (me, husband and 2 kids) eat about 50% raw in the winter and 70% in the summer. This balanace feels best for us, it took a while to get here;) We are not vegans, but eat wild caught fish and meat, I make raw yoghurt and kefir from milk we get ourself at a farm and make fermented vegetables and fermented drinks like kombucha, water kefir and ginger ale, and sourdough for bread. Everything else homemade and clean. We also have a small garden where we grow vegetables, fruits and berries in the summer. Our 2 kids (6 and 1,5 years) are strong, healthy and smart kids, so I see first hand that the way we eat is the best way, for us. Have a beautiful day and thank you for all the cool blog posts with recipes and tips:) Hugs from Norway!

I’ve been vegetarian for nine years and finally decided to go vegan/raw December 2012. I owe it to myself, to all creatures on the planet and to the Earth to not only eat healthy, ethical and sustainably, but to future generations to set an example of how we can live in absolute harmony with all life on our beautiful Mother Gaia! Eating this way nourishes my soul so in turn I can uplift the vibrations of all on Earth and be the truest, most authentic aspect of self. I’ve been 80% raw in summer but finding a little more cooked legumes sneaking into my diet as the winter weather gets colder!
Thank you kindly for your wonderful blog… I may not comment often, but all the shared information has been wonderfully helpful and encouraging on my new healthy journey. xxx

I started eating healthier 12 years ago when I was pregnant with my first. I continued to eat organic and healthy to be a good role model for the kids, teach them to make healthy choices and insure proper health and nutrition for them. I eat 50-70% raw depending on the day. I do a lot of green smoothies, salads and veggies. I love, love, love your website. It keeps me motivated to try new things and think outside of the box. Raw doesn’t have to be time consuming or difficult. Thanks for all your great recipes and support!

My healthy eating habits began as soon as my daughter was born. our diet was full of animal products and we considered a benefit for us and our kid , to create a healthy living environment for her growing. We started by eliminating meat and byproducts , then dairy and fish. We went 100% raw for 12 months with outstanding results and we now keep that at 80%. We like to sprout a lot and oats are our favourite.
Thanks for all your great posts and advice!

I started eating healthier after I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 15 years ago. I first became vegetarian and eventually vegan. Now I eat a plant strong diet that is about 50% raw. I am trying to increase that percentage by drinking more green smoothies. I also recently got a dehydrator and am enjoying the variety from it. Love your Cheezy Kale Crackers!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent!
