Due to an illness I have been on heavy medication, but it was only after 25 years that I fell REALLy seriously ill – due to the medication coctail that was supposed to help me. I had a severe medication poisoning and even though the doctors told me the symptons were not from the pills I was taking, I found out they were. In a period of almost two years time I am now completely off medication (wiiiiieeeeehiiiieeew!! 🙂 and searching for other ways to treat myself from inside out. With food, with the way I live, yoga, meditation, ito-thermie. I eat 60 to 80 % raw food and I love it. The only thing is that it makes me feel really cold inside (especially in winter) and that my son does not like it at all (the fruits yes, but everything to do with veggies is difficult. Although even he is getting more and more used to it). BUT! He loves muesli and all sorts of things that I make from (sprouted) grains. What ever I make from the flakes and the wheat he loves it and so do I. So a grain grinder would make us very happy in our way to healthyness! What a wonderfull opportunity <3

What a great giveaway! I eat healthy because it makes me feel great! and I like the taste of healthy food. While my co-workers need there bar of chocolate I prefere to munch on an apple and a carrot, for example. The percentage of raw in my diet varies, I eat lots of veggies and fruit as snacks but on most days there is one warm meal per day, though during summer that might be a salad, too 😉

Hi Susan, I discovered raw food about a year ago. Since then this kind of diet always felt right. The delicious food and even more important the “feeling good” component always let me know that this I am on the right track. Thank you so much for the motivation and for showing what is possible. Many Blessings, Lars

I am a mother of 6 who spends a TREMENDOUS amount of time in the kitchen cooking for my family and the large number of guests we are fortunate to have in our home at any time. We eat healthy as a means to have energy to achieve everything we want to and the amount of raw food we eat varies from day to day and season to season.
Thanks for all your wonderful recipes!

Oh my goodness I’ve been wanting one of these for ages! I first tried raw aged 15, then again at college and again in my late 20’s but I always felt like I was missing out and craved cooked foods and snacks. Then I got a Vitamix and suddenly I was managing to pack huge quantities of nutrition (mostly veg) into smoothies each day and suddenly my journey towards a more raw diet became so much easier and the cravings mostly dissipated.

I live in Scotland so in the winter I do want some warm foods and eat 70% raw, in the other seasons it’s about 90-95%. As someone with a chronic illness I really feel the benefit to my whole body when I avoid pre processed/cooked foods. One of the main things I have trouble with is getting raw flaked oats, so if I could flake my own from raw groats that would make me so happy.

    dear rawmazing,

thank you for this opportunity to think about why we eat healthy while entering to win a grain mill! I, personally, try to eat healthy because I am trying to lose weight and reverse diabetes. I try to eat primarily clean proteins and large amounts of low glycemic veggies. I also LOVE green juices and like to start the day with a green lemonade.
am thinking of taking a raw food course and getting certified so I can guide others through (mostly) raw food cleanses.

I eat healthy so that I can live my life optimally. I want to feel my best every day so that I can live every day to its fullest. I am also a health coach and I want to walk my talk and be authentic. I eat about 75-80% raw- if I eat cooked food, it will be at dinner usually, but always vegan, low fat and nutritious.

I was diagnosed with ME nearly a year ago and have been doing everything I can since then to try and improve all aspects of my health. A month ago I discovered the documentary ‘Raw for 30 Days’ and was wowed by the amazing benefits of a raw diet. I have been 90% raw since then and I already notice a difference… I just ‘feel’ better. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of raw food blogs/recipies on the web (Rawmazing one of my favourites) and these resources have made it much easier for me to make the change to raw. I was vegan already so it wasn’t too big a jump. Whilst I still have some way to go to get back to full health I know the raw diet is going to help me on my way. I look forward to trying more of your recipies 🙂
    Thanks x
