I have a chronic autoimmune disease (Sjogren’s Syndrome) and am always experimenting with food as my medicine. My latest experiment involves how raw foods might affect inflammation and dryness in my body. I currently eat about 50% raw and consider myself “the little engine that could” in terms of desire vs actual doing. Thank you for your beautiful, inspirational recipes. What a gift you give with every post. Thank you!

I love to try out healthy new ideas and am incorporating raw recipes as much as possible since it really is the best way to get back to basics! Would love to try this new grinder!

it depends on the time of the year and the weather for us. During the summer we are mostly raw as everything we eat comes right out of the garden and it’s too hot to cook. In the winter were about 25% raw and for some reason I always feel like cleansing in Nov of all months. We tried eating 100% raw foods in the winter but it’s too cold here and we’ll eat quinoa, veggies and lots of beans topped with raw sprouts (the best winter grown greens!).

This winter I am guessing we will be eating more raw as we’re trying to grow veggies year round even under the snow. It’s hard making raw foods that our kids will like so I’ve found dehydrating to be the best way for them (well the 3 year old, the 6 month old is only just venturing into foods).

My sad thing is that for some reason raw fruit and avacados which I LOVE makes my mouth soooo itchy and my lip swells and then my stomach cramps, I have no idea why, I’ve had allergy tests done and they don’t show up as an allergy. I am sensitive to mold, so maybe microscopic mold spores..? I dunno, I tried so hard to do the raw thing but that set me back a bit, I am looking forward to this summer though and cleansing and losing the baby weight by eating healthy raw backyard veggies!

I have to say too that your site is amazing and inspiring and you are incredibly gifted with the art of raw food. I found your site a few months back and have been enjoying the emails of inspiration!

I just found your website and it is great! I previously ate more raw but have have had to change a little bit. I have a high metabolism and am very active but would like to try more raw again. I think I’m going to go break out the dehydrator now to try some of your yummy recipes. I eat about 40% raw.

I eat healthy to feel great, to be a good role model for my kids and prevent disease. My diet varies from 50%-90% raw depending on how I feel. Thank you for sharing such wonderful recipes.

Knowledge is power! I am learning more and more about the benefits of eating a raw diet. I have made major changes in my diet and I have started to build torwards more of a raw diet. Since this is new for me, I am about 40-50% raw right now. I am learning new receipes, making my own almond milk, and juicing. I just purchased a dehydrator and as you can tell I am making the right steps in the right direction. Winning this grain grinder would be so AWESOME and encouraging! Thank you for the opportunity to add essential equipment to be successful!

I eat a plant based diet because I want to live healthy and stay active. I sure don’t want to ever go to a nursing home with ailments and disease. My diet is about 80% living and many days 100%. Your website, recipes and pictures are awesome and elegant. You info about oat flakes sounds very good and would like to try some. Many thanks.

Hi. I’m a complete newbie. I was a big foodie and I used to eat A LOT of meat because it was just a stable food in my Korean culture. I started to become sensitive and my body reacted to the things I ate and I didn’t know why. My vegan co-worker challenged me to Dr. Fuhrmans ETL 6-week eating plan last winter. Ever since then I never turned back. That same friend challenged me to go raw for a couple weeks afterwards and I loved it even more and felt such a BIG difference in every way! My energy level, mental clarity, physical strength, etc. I consume raw about 75-80% of the time. Again, this is all new to me and I never realized that I can take my life back by eating healthy. I’m such a believer!
