Known as the “Green Smoothie Girl” at work, I live mostly on fresh salads, organic fruits, sprouted grains, raw nuts and whatever’s in my small but prolific garden. I love to cook so I’m about 60% raw and challenging myself to make it 80%. I encourage my husband, family and co-workers to live a healthier lifestyle and move away from the Standard American Diet of fast and processed foods. It’s been a journey and I still have lots to learn!

I eat probably 40% raw. I have thyroid disease and I am trying to improve it by eating all organic, high raw diet. I just bought your raw desert books the other day from one of my fav. restaurants “Christophers Kitchen” in Palm Bch Gardens, FL. Its a mostly raw, vegan restaurant. I would love to have this machine to help me make some of the delicious sounding recipes in your book.

thank you for all your posts!
    Gina

I chose the raw vegan journey recently and am at almost 85 percent raw. I am a struggling student and focusing my study on women’s health from a feminist holistic lens. I hope my journey will help other women to become self empowered using alternative health and integrative therapies to reclaim their health. Love the raw and would deeply appreciate the support.
    Peace and Raw

I eat raw organic foods because I love my self and the planet. I eat Raw Organic foods and buy local and grow my own because it is as natural as you can get and as healthy as you can get. I eat this way because its the best way to get all the living nutrition you need to sustain yourself and thrive without negatively impacting the environment. Organic farming practices protect our soils, and maintain biodiversity, and don’t contribute to chemical run off into our water sheds, eating raw food also reduced my use of gas and electricity thus decreasing my carbon foot print, and doing a little bit on my part to protect planet earth. I am 90-95% raw.

I started eating vegan almost three years ago. Because I practice Bikram yoga. There is nothing like a really hot and humid room to inspire attention to how you fuel your body. I was training hard for competitionand found eliminating animal products from my diet made me feel so much better. Stronger. More flexible. Last summer I started exploring raw foods. And yoga offered even more feedback. I feel better raw. I eat healthier raw. I pay more attention to my nutrition raw. I am probably 95% raw now. Very occassionally I have a cooked veggie or veggie chip or even rarer a sugary vegan dessert. But, I am lucky enough to have the four important appliances of rawness. Juicer, dehyrator, vitamix, and food processor. So, mostly I dig around online for inspiration and create rawesome foods that leave nothing to be desired! I honestly miss very little from my vegan/cooked life. And nothing from my times pre-vegan. There are so many amazing tools to help raw foodies transform natural and whole ingredients into rawmazing dishes who needs to cook?! And thank you so much for sharing your recipes and discoveries. Here’s toneating well and feelin great!

I eat healthy because I have to– I am allergic to wheat, soy, peanuts and corn, and have IBS. Therefore, I am following a diet called Simple Carbohydrate, which means I can’t eat any grains, sugars (including lactose) or additives really. Lots of meat, fruits, veggies, butter and cheese and honey as a sweetener. About 60% of my diet is from raw food, and I love to bake using things like nuts, seeds and coconut.

I currently eat about 90% raw. I eat a lot of fresh fruit, juice regularly, totally vegan.

I eat the way I do because last spring I suffered from Adrenal fatigue. It kicked my butt. I was grabbing processed foods and artificial sweeteners in hopes of getting more energy.

I now have limitless energy I feel so great glad that I made the shift. And I always appreciate sites such as yours for great recipes and reading.

I nourish my whole self – mind, body and spirit – with vibrant, vegan foods because it allows me to shine my brightest. It is both preventative and also healing for me to eat primarily raw foods in the Spring, Summer and Fall especially. Being a dance artist, food literally feeds my art. It is also a way to connect with community and family; sharing healthy, gorgeous food grown with care and prepared with love. I balance eating local, seasonal and raw, honouring my body’s constitution and the body of the earth at the same time. I delight in the beauty and medicine of food… Happy health everyone!

After being sick with allergies and sinus problems for years, I switched to a mostly raw diet. Its made a big difference in my health. Now that I know what a huge impact food can have on your life, I can’t imagine going back. Thanks for all your recipes!
