Grain Grinder and Flaker Give Away!
If you enjoyed the “How to Make Raw Flaked Oats” post, you will love this give-away! It is a grain grinder and grain flaker just for you so you can make your own raw sprouted oat flakes and other raw sprouted flours and flakes!
This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

I plan to live to be ~125 years old, so I need to eat live foods to maximize my health for the long haul.
I eat about 35% raw foods.

I eat healthy to help maintain a healthy body and lifestyle, and because I feel better when I do.
About 15% of my food is consumed raw.

In1996 I worked in a famed Chicago raw restraunt, rare for its times. I was so healthy and glowing. Fast forward to now I haven’t been raw since then, but now with resources from the Internet I can easily draw from lots of menus rather than relying on memory what I did there. Now I’m 90 raw, in the last month I dropped my body mass index count 4 points, shed 10 pounds and enjoy the flavorful assortment of raw foods. Other stuff I used to make now seems so bland! Since I had a background working with raw I knew a lot about it already, so it was just a matter of hauling out the dehydrator I bought from the thrift store and getting out my old sprouting jars. I’m so happy! I wonder if the honey moon will wear off when it gets real cold here. The only thing I haven’t done is grind….hope I get to try it, my husband will be over the moon if I win this!

My belief is that this body is truly a vehicle in this lifetime, so I choose to take care of it, only feed it the best organic, raw, and local foods. I have been playing around in the kitchen for 2 decades with vegan/raw food preperation. I am so grateful to feel vibrant and full of energy. I was a 100% raw foodist for 2 years and transitioned into eating cooked food again as I began growing more and more of my own food. I am a farmer on the island of Oahu and love providing local organically grown food for the community and friends. I have a raw food booth at the farmers market here on my side of the island. I would love to see what is available for me to make once receiving a new fun tool like this in the kitchen. Much love and aloha. Keep sharing these beautiful recipes! Mahalo.

Would so love this. Got started on my new path to health while under going chemo for a brain tumor. Stubbled across “Food Matters” to watch then started watching and reading what I could. Now studying with IIN and loving my new ways- Love your raw brownies by the way 🙂 right now I’m about 70/30 and working towards more. I don’t count my juicing so it might be more than 70- lots of veggies go into one glass of juice- love my juice!!!!!

I’m about 60% raw but looking forward to bump that up when the local farmers’ market opens in a few weeks. =) I eat healthy to help keep my mental health problems at bay and because plant-based diets with minimal cooking are best for the earth and everyone on it.

I started eating a (mostly) raw diet as as a cleansing experiment and I felt so great that it just stuck. The percentage of raw food I eat varies with the season, but spring in Seattle is a great time to start upping the raw intake again. Right now I’m probably at 40% raw and feeling great, but definitely looking forward to eating 80% raw this summer.
