    Greetings!
I always prided my self on eating pretty healthy but got really sick at Christmas and took a good look at
my eating habbits! Since then i have really changed my ways! I eat apout 85 percent raw 10percent cooked
and 5 percent chocolate 🙂 I have recently bought a breville juicer a coffe grinder a food processor a kombucha
starter and new salad master pots and pans! yikes ! i am really trying to teach my family good eating habits but
its a challenge. I have foster children and sometimes when i get them they dont even know what a vegetable
looks like let alone how wonderful they taste. I recently bought some bread starter to start making my own bread and a dehydrator to dry what i can. For the first time, we have planted a garden! I am excited! I love the subject of health and wellness and desire to pass on what i learn to others. My grown children think im a nut with my green
smoothies that i make in my vita mixer…. I desire to eat the way that God intended us to eat, and teach others.
…..sorry i could go on and on but will stop short!
Blessings to you and all you do.
    Thank you for your time.

2 days ago was my 10 year anniversary of being diagnosed with a terminal stage 4 glioblastoma. My wife and I went 100% raw 9 years ago and have been mostly raw since. One of my favorite treats was Grandma’ss pecan balls, that was until we found out the oat groats are steamed prior to being rolled. I haven’t had a pecan ball in over4 years!

I have been vegetarian since 1997, but have actually gained weight from cheese. I have high blood pressure and the beginnings of type 2 diabetes. I have to make a major lifestyle change and raw vegan seems like a lifestyle I can comfortably live. I am only 5% raw at this time, but my husband is now on board and we are eating and giving our way through our pantry supplies and anticipate starting our 30 day raw vegan adventure in the next few weeks.

I have been eating healthy all of my life, and with more focus on meeting individual needs since my son was born just over 24 years ago. Always eating a high fruit and vegetable portion I began to slowly take meats and dairy out of my diet as I felt it may be why I was ‘always a bit tired and off in the stomach’. Now I would eat about 90% raw, with some grain breads and rice being cooked. My son has developed his own diet of mainly fruit and vegetables, but he does eat turkey meat. Both of us enjoy winters without colds, and have not been sick in a long time. I regularly have blood tests to ensure I am getting all required vitamins and in fact it is higher than when I was eating meats and dairy. Currently we are collecting more recipes to give us a wider choice of meal options.

My 5 year old has had digestive problems since birth! My husband has just recently started experiencing unexplainable health issues. After much research I decided to alter the way our family eats! We are trying to live by the 80/20 rule which works out to 4 cooked meals a week! Pasta and breads are on our top favorites list and this would help me to make the healthiest version!

I have been moving away from the mainstream American diet since I was diagnosed with type II diabetes. I am strongly against taking drugs to mask symptoms and rather have decided to heal my body through diet and exercise. I’ve gone from experimenting with almond and coconut flour to shifting into Paleo. I recently found a documentary on raw food curing diabetes in 30 days. So I’m excited to see if a raw foods lifestyle can heal my body…

We enjoy introducing others to our majority raw and vegan food diet at communal dinners, bringing “mystery” meals, sides and condiments which we encourage people to discover. It’s always fun and seldom do we experience rejection! We find it particularly easy to slip in seasonal food, like avocado/cucumber soups in summer and kale salads in winter. Fun stuff.

I started eating raw about 10 years ago and have not looked back. I am 98% raw and lovin it. It all started by going vegetarian and slowly transitioned to raw. I was tired of feeling like crap and this is the best for me. As for the grinder, I could put it to good use. Thank you for all of your great recipes and contributions to the raw lifestyle.
    Take care, Paul Le May
