I am eating healthy since 2005 after suffering from chronic fatigue for 13 years and a sleuth of other health issues. I eat 80%+ raw.

My name is Kristen and I have been trying to move towards a more raw lifestyle. My purpose to eat healthier is to control blood sugar and avoid the prescribed medicines. I feel I have moved from 0% to almost 60% raw in the last year. Definitely a process, but its been amazing the changes I have seen. Trying to learn and research techniques and recipies. Glad I found this website. Great variety and source of inspiration. Good Luck all!

I eat healthy because everything you put into your body effects it and your mind. Only got one body…….. And I’m 100% raw vegan at times and 80% vegan at others. 🙂

I eat healthy to try to stay ahead of the game. I don’t want to be sick, on medications, or tired and lethargic. Raw foods have given me what I need to stay on my path. Although this is a new journey I am at about 50% raw, striving for more everyday.

I am 16 and have currently been living raw/vegan for 3 years now. About 90% of my diet is purely raw and Im loving it! Life is just so much brighter in every way. I dont miss cheese, meats, or any of those processed foods teenagers these days cant live without. Yes, it puts me in a different part of the group, being raw/vegan, but I dont care. Im happy and love the way I have begun to live ever since my parents divorce. I changed my diet almost 100% in the beginning just out of rebellion against my father. He was a meat eater, ice cream eater, you name it and I did NOT want to be similar in any way. A normal teenage move I suppose. What first started out as a rebellion however became this LOVE for life. I grew skinner and leaner, lost all my ache, and suddenly felt like I could fly almost! After that, it didnt seem like a rebellion anymore. I was ENJOYING my diet/lifestyle I had made up.

Thanks for this amazing site and your recipes! They have rocked my world so far! 🙂

I am 99% raw – I include spices and occasionally nutritional yeast or miso. I’ve been high raw since 2006 and 99%+ raw for the past 4 years. I love my raw diet for my physical health but especially for my mental health. I feel so much more positive and blissful eating raw plus I love the energy I have. I find the food preparation easy and quick and I love the colour and vibrance of the food. I’m turning 58 this month and I feel much younger.

I started my vegetarian journey about 17 years ago, it started for health reasons as I wasn’t aware of the animal issues. I “cured” my health issues by about 80%. I am forever amazed and have been medication free for about 15 years.

Internally I thought I would start eating meat again, but it turns out I’m a better veg cook and I came to realize I had no interest in meat….if I want a steak I will eat one, but so far, no interest 🙂 I came to learn of the conditions in our factory farms …..my food sans meat is healthy, vibrant without senseless suffering. Best of all worlds, right?

I LOVE your website, it has helped me greatly in my transition to more and more raw foods. During warm months I eat at least 75% raw. Cold months are less, about 40%. When I lived in a warm climate I was almost completely raw for 2 years. In any case many of my raw food dishes are family favorites and they won’t disappear from our table.

Wonderful. Keep it up and know you inspire others 🙂

While raising five children (now grown), I got sick for a long time with a swollen thyroid, and luckily my instinct told me not to have surgery for thyroid removal (despite doctor’s several requests). So I looked into alternative medicine and found tons of answers. Changed 100% into holistic way of life with everything organic, Non-GMO, gluten-free and soy- free in our home, not only for myself but for my husband and entire family too. As a result of after about 6 years, my thyroid lump is completely GONE! To make long story short, we are now a happy family with good health. We eat mostly raw, about 60-75 percent raw, sometimes more depending on the weather. We bought BlendTec and it’s SO useful for many things! My family and I also love oatmeal using raw oat groats by soaking first, and then eat. But never tried flaking them, nor grinding the oats. This new grinder/flaker would be a perfect addition to our kitchen! I hope we win 🙂
Thanks for having this GREAT giveaways ! Happy May to everyone!

I grew up in a household where everything was made from scratch and from fresh produce obtained from the farmer’s market. I am now a head of my own household and a cancer survivor and I am continuing eating the same way I did when I was a girl, both for health reasons and for connecting with my childhood memories. I would say that about 70% of my daily intake of food comes from raw fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts. Thanks for this fantastic blog! Such a gift to all of us readers.
