This NorPro Grain Grinder does it all, both flakes and flour. I put it through it’s paces and almost decided to keep it! It did a great job with both flaking and grinding.

You can only enter once and the contest closes on Thursday, May 16th at 9:00 am PST. The winner will be chosen by a random number generator. You must answer the questions for your entry to count.

I eat raw because that is why I do. I just started doing it one day, a long time ago, and I have just kept on doing it. I started back when there were no fancy machines, and my basic recipes are still pretty much “use your knife”, although I will admit that my beautiful Cuisinart food processor (which I scrimped and saved for for a year) is a beloved addition to my kitchen.
I’ve found “nude oats”, and sprout and dehydrated the oats, so this grain grinder would be very useful.
Thank you.

I’d love to grind/flake my own so I would be surer of the freshness. I love eating raw because it makes me feel so centered/balanced and I’d say I eat between 50 and 60% raw. It’s easily the most interesting, fun, and challenging type of “cooking,” that I’ve come across.

I ran into some health concerns about two years ago and have been raw ever since. I’ve lost 75 lbs, improved my health to the point that even my vision is restoring itself. I love to cook and now love to uncook! I tend to eat about 95% raw allowing for foods like maple syrup and nutritional yeast which are healthy but not raw.

We just recovered Raw Food the last of September and are trying to eat as much Raw Food as possible and feels comfortable because we are with two and it’s for each of us different. We still are looking for the best way for each and it isn’t that easy. So every help we can get is welcome, also this site

I eat healthy to be available and energetic for my children. I want them to remember their childhood as full of life and love with a mom who always got down in the dirt with them. Also, diabetes, cancer and heart disease all run in my family and I choose to try and beat the odds with sound nutrition and a good attitude. I am currently about 75% raw:)

Love this site! We are only a good 55% most days some a little better…we are just learning and aquiring the tools of the trade. As our growing season advances we aim to eat 90% raw as it seems to be the only way of healthy eating that sits well for our whole family and our too numerous dietary restrictions.
Thanks for the recipes, inspiration and opportunity!

Love this beautiful site! We’ve been eating more a more raw and while we are only at about 55% each raw meal “feels” different leaving us light and energized versus heavy. With so many dietary restrictions in our family we are fairly certain that raw is our best way of life and are excited to eat a good 90% raw as we get further into our growing season.
Thanks for all the great information and inspiration.

I eat healthy because it makes me feel balanced and energized. Eating mostly raw foods helps me feel my best, so I’d estimate eating approx. 90-95%, depending on the date. My goal is always to eat 100% healthy 🙂 You’re blog is beautiful – keep shining! xo

We eat organic salads through out the year but now that the garden is planted we are looking forward to having more selections. At our age, My husband is 83 and I am 63, we find that the better quality food that we eat help a lot with accomplishing everything each day demands.
