Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

We don’t eat processed food – only ‘real’ food. We buy organic veg whenever possible. We eat fermented foods/drinks every day and love reaping the benefits!

I do my best to eat a good variety of fruits and vegetables along with exercise, a daily 3-mile walk. Fresh air and good food help keep me healthy and balanced.

considering I just went through breast cancer again …I’m thinking I need to learn how not to die…it’s time for a change… up in eating for sure. I’ve started with eliminating meats from our diet which is a huge step for us!

I follow a plant based, mostly raw diet and am spreading this throughout my extended family including pre-schoolers. Like to think we can gradually reverse some of the damage done one family at a time.

I eat raw and organic 80% of the time. When I do eat cooked food it is usually grilled, lightly steamed or baked. I don’t eat processed anything and no flour or sugars except the naturally occurring sugars in fruit.

I have a Ninja Auto IQ and a Nutri Bullet that I use for all my veggies and fruits and if I am in a hurry I drink Odwalla Green Juice. I cut out mayo from my diet, I do not use margarine but instead use real butter if I even do….Grape seed, Olive, and Coconut oils are what I use the most.

One of my favorite things to eat is Caramel Rice Cakes with Almond butter on them, add sliced bananas and top it with Cinnamon ….YUMMY!!

I use Almond Breeze unsweetened milk because it on,y has 30 calories & is better to have with my cheerios than regular cows milk

I have MS so I stick to a low fat diet mainly & eat smaller meals and do a lot of portion control & I try not to eat past 7pm
