How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

If you can’t wait for the contest to end and you need to get your hands on a copy right away, click here: How Not to Die or go to the Rawmazing store and order it there.

I make sure to drink green juices every day, even if I have to buy the powdered kind. I’ve noticed that the additional nutrients I receive clearly help my body to function even without making other changes to my diet. The green juices helped me to naturally crave more healthy food, easing my lifestyle transition.

I’m honestly not very healthy. I’ve tried to be and fall back into my old habits. The latest and greatest news I can give is that I am cutting back on what I eat and trying to watch my calories. I do try to introduce fresh veggies and fruits into every meal I eat (I eat 6 small meals a day at about 300 – 365 calories each) but I’m just horrible at grocery shopping. I’ve also started walking in 15 minute increments 3x a day as well as some basic medicine ball exercises.

I eat a 100% vegan diet (approx 80% raw and 20% cooked) and mostly organic when I can find it. I look forward to my fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds daily. I also drink a ‘greens’ powder with natural probiotics, and I eat chia, flax and one raw garlic clove daily.

Michael Greger, MD is my go-to source for information and guidance also. He is entertaining, extremely knowledgeable, and drives the points home in easy-to-understand language and illustrations. He’s my favorite doc!

I’ve been eating a plant based diet with a combination of raw. I try to keep healthy by doing the mentioned and a Hiit work out and/or by doing lunges, squats and arm exercises in between commercials. totally fun.
