How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!
Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.
I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.
Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?
His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.
We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

I live in Northern climate, where getting green leafy eatables is very difficult. I juice root vegetables with a slow juicer, drink the juice, and make a salad out of pulp with a dressing from mixture of healthy oils and lemon.

I like to find new recipes others have found delicious and healthy. I try to implement one new food or recipe every several weeks. I find too much change is not sustainable — little at a time at least for now.

I do the Master Cleanse about 4 times a year. This is a deeper cleanser and I find it stops food desires from getting out of hand.

I am a vegan, not strict one, for about 10 years. This means that I do sometimes eat a fish or eggs. I turned vegetarian when I was 12 years old. I practice Yoga and I dance as a hobby and know and believe that eating vegan, but paying attention t get enough protein, together with movement, is a key to living healthy. Loving what you do, loving people who surround you and loving what you eat is also very important in my opition to healthy living. I enjoy very much your website and love making your recipes, ehich are always the best I can imagine.

I made a change 4 years ago to go on a plant based diet. I noticed major results in my body within a few weeks, my sinud issues had left my body, headaches ahd gone and I no longer heave the need to use pain killers. I make my own cheese, grow microgreens and keep an organic veggie garden. My family enjoy the new diet choices and that’s a beautiful thing.
