Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

    Hi there!
I have been making a habit of having one green smoothie a day, taking literally dozens of vitamin supplements, and have been transitioning from vegetarian to strictly vegan. (Oh cheese..)
I look forward to continuing my journal towards optimal health! 🙂

I cook healthy dishes with lot of organic vegetables and fruits, drink smoothies and practice yoga as often as I can.

Several times each week I try to replace meals with organic, homemade fresh juice. We also try to limit our meat and dairy intake and stick to things that come straight from the ground. It’s been difficult getting my boyfriend to switch but he’s gotten so used to eating that way now that not only does he not miss all of the meat and cheese. one of his favorite meals (and one of the 3 things he’ll actually make) is a totally vegetarian meal (corn, black bean and avocado salsa stuffed sweet potato).

I have a natural interest for health and try to make my internet procrastination time into nutrition/vegan/raw research. I prepare my meals and keep an eye out for nutritional factors when i study medicine.

To live a healthier life starts with attitude and the desire to be healthy. I start every day with a daily affirmation of “today is a good day”, no matter if the world perceives it or not. I shop carefully, researching recipes and always reading labels. I love eating healthfully and showing others how to do it too!

Always drink water when you wake up. And a good carb breakfast if possible. My favorite way to be heathy is learning how to hide great veggies and metabolism boosting foods in my smoothies!

I drink green smoothies and try to make the healthiest choices I can at the grocery store. I have a ten month old boy, and I make sure he eats lots of veggies and try to make it fun. Thank you for the giveaway! 🙂
