How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!
Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.
I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.
Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?
His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.
We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

We eat a whole food plant based diet, mainly vegan & organic. I also love cook, buy as much local produce as possible, and forage wild garlic, greens & berries in the warmer months.

I love eating real food also! Growing up in the Irish countryside means I’ve been lucky enough to have potatoes, spinach, tomatoes, peas, carrots and a plethora of other goodies growing in the garden! Nothing better than getting up in the morning to pick spinach and making a green smoothie to start the day!

I’ve been a vegetarian for many years but admittedly not a very good one. Could have done better with food combining and eaten less sugary foods. Lately though I’ve turned toward more fresh/raw foods and not eating as much sugar. Thanks for the great giveaway! 🙂

Vegan foods all the way, I try to stick to fruits and veggies hoping to become majority raw but I’m not gonna lie, I love a good cooked meal with some quinao or tofu or tempeh, I think you get it haha.

Aim for whole plant based foods, with no processing or additives. Live as nature intended with beautiful food from mother earth – food to feed the soul without hurting our fellow creatures. I like to eat high energy living food, not pain and suffering.

I tend to eat a mainly raw, vegan diet, using fresh, organic produce (wherever possible). I do still eat fish on occasion though and eggs, but only if I know the chickens! I have eliminated processed food completely from my diet, along with sugar and have never felt better. Happily, lots of my habits have been passed onto my family who are also thinking a lot more about what they are eating! Here’s to a fit and healthy 2016! :o) x
