Your whole food, plant-based life.

How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!

Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.

I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

How Not to Die by Michael Greger, MD

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.

Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?

His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.

We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

Aloha! I hope this message finds all who reads this, with peace, love and good health! As a mother of three, I’m dedicated to providing my family with balanced nutrition, while inspiring them through my actions to serve as a positive influence. We enjoy green smoothies daily, and try to make the majority of our snacks at home. Being conscious about what we’re eating, and taking ownership as to how our actions affect others is extremely important to us, so having resources like rawmazing.com helps us to get creative on our healing journey. Cheers to healthy choices and living an abundant life of love <3

I’ve established a habit of creating a green smoothie in my Vitamix every workday morning. i always add psyllium husk, flax seeds, spinach/greens, ice cubes and then whatever is fresh or seasonal (apples, cranberry, banana etc) for variety. It feels like I start out my morning in a positive healthy way – which boosts my mood as well as my health. I also grow my own greens and most of the year can go out and harvest something from the garden – chard, mustard greens, kale, collards etc. a handful of greens can be added to just about anything, from scrambled eggs to soups or stews.

I cook every day to feed my family. With that said they don’t all agree with my raw and holisitc food groupings. So I plan my meals imbedding superfoods and raw natural sweetness when I can at minim in one meal for them a day. My 7 soon to be 8 year old ( and very finicky) is eating Kale, avacado, mustard greens and cashew milk and raw cookies. The rest of my family has grown to love what I cook now and with that they have been. Me I am a morning to evening holistic planner and user of natural foods. Coconut oils, love my coconut even as a unfiltered water when I work out at the gym. Natural almond butter, unfiltered apple cider vinegar on veggies for salads..on and on.. love your Rawmazing website and with my Fierce4 Nutritional coaching certificate I added it to my facebook page and am using holistic raw nutritional coaching in my CPT services.

I am most successful at eating healthy when I prepare whole fruits for my breakfast the night before. That way, regardless of the turn my morning takes, I have a healthy start to any day. For me, healthy eating takes planning!
