How Not to Die – GIVEAWAY!
Enter to win “How Not to Die” by Michael Greger, MD. The best resource on how to use a plant based diet to fight the top 15 life-shortening killers. THE RULES TO ENTER ARE AT THE END OF THE POST.
I have been a fan of Dr. Michael Greger for years. His site, NutritionFacts.Org is my top “go to” for information on nutrition and health. To date, there are 1,965 articles and videos covering every health topic you can imagine. He is always on top of the latest, scientifically verified, groundbreaking science relating to plant based diet choices and how they positively affect our health.

You can find the” latest information” many places but no one does the research like Dr. Greger does. He cites study after study, debunking some information and strongly, scientifically supporting other information. It is the one place that I truly trust for the latest information on nutrition.
Dr Greger is a huge proponent of a plant-based diet. And through his research, he has identified the foods that have been “scientifically proven to prevent and reverse disease”. His much anticipated book, “How Not to Die” covers the 15 leading causes of premature death, such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer and how to combat and possibly reverse these diseases with diet and lifestyle changes. It is mind-blowing. Did you know that drinking hibiscus tea can work better that the leading drug treatment?
His new book also covers the foods and activities that we should include in our daily routines. He even has a check-list that you can use for your daily healthy eating and life-style.
We are buying this book for many of our friends for Christmas and I wanted to make sure that one of you received one too! This is NOT a sponsored post, nor did I receive a book to give away. I believe so strongly in his work that I bought a copy and am giving it as a gift to one of you. All profits from his book go to charity. Pretty cool, huh?

I eat organic eggs, organic grains (not wheat), and I also eat raw or slightly cooked vegetables. I do eat small amounts of fruit (for dessert). Refined foods are not a part of my diet and I feel great and have lots of energy!

I have been preparing green drinks most days for a few years. I eat mostly whole foods with the emphasis on fruits and vegetables with some superfoods added in….and feel much better on this eating plan.

Apply 80/20 rule – 80% organic, plant based food and 20% flexible depending on situations such as being a guest, out to a restaurant or some weird desire my body is communicating. Have been plant-based for 5 years and loving it!!!

I stick to a high raw vegan whole food diet – after trying everything conventional medicine had to offer (including chemo and biological therapies). I switched to raw vegan and this enabled me to get out of my wheelchair (10 years using it) and learn to walk again and my rheumatoid arthritis just gets better and better every day.

Eating healthy for me involves a mostly raw and organic diet, supplemented by super foods and trusting my gut on what I need. No processed food, no dairy, no meat, and occasionally some seafood.

I have had cancer three times in the past 3 years, most recent surgery two weeks ago. I eat out of my garden and am mostly vegan. I have had to change my diet from raw to incorporate cooked foods due to extreme weight loss. I would love to have this book, as I need guidance.

The single most important aspect of eating well for me is to include a salad everyday, I always have a variety of greens and veggies, add a little protein (nuts, seeds, avocado, beans) and dress with lime and olive oil.
